The Walking Dead (Official Thread)

Yeah, I get that structure...but they already betrayed him and walked out once. Yes, they came back, but something about a ruthless and self-pragmatic leader believing it could never happen again rubs me wrong.
With the picture they've pointed so far of Negan, I can't understand how he has any followers at all. Because he wrapped a bat with barbed wire? Day 3 of his "well look at you" routine should've caused a mutiny. Now on top of that, he's stupid. Cool.

I actually dug most of this episode. The actor playing Eugene did a fantastic job, and because of his earlier deceptions to survive at any cost, there is doubt as to which side he will end up on. They also tried, at least, to develop Dwight and wife a bit with some backstory, even though Deights turn is inevitable. The doctor thing was a spot monkey moment again, and that's the problem I had with the episode, because like most spot monkey moments it made no sense. He didn't say enough to piss of Dwight that much. Eugene never claimed to be a medical doctor. And Negin having that much trust in Dwight made little sense either.

The episode wasn't bad really, I really loved the Eugene moments and that was most of the episode. The Dwight and wife back story was good as well. It was just the last 5 minutes or so with the episode that pissed me off, particularly the doctor roast.

And I'm not sure Negan is necessarily just trusting Dwight...I have a feeling he is letting him dig a hole or leave a trail of mess ups to end up justifying a horrific death...and I thought maybe the doctor thing was just an attempt to make Dwight feel guilt and intimidate him some more. I could be way off though.

These are exactly my sentiments as well.

Yeah, despite the fact that the 2 actors are generally good, that might have been the stupidest hour of television yet until the last 2 minutes. I do give credit for Tara's conflictedness, that at least is a viable arc. But the sexcation combined with stumbling onto a special ops unit that just happens to all be dead and still carrying their weapons and have been there since the beginning despite Negin and the Saviors and their minions scouring the earth in a 200 mile radius for anything of value? Um, OK

I think they could have saved money and gone full on clay/stop motion with that deer. That was baaaaaad.

Haha that was so awful. I am usually not one to notice bad CGI, so if I notice it, it's horrible.

And agreed on how bad this episode was in general...that was pretty much just a wasted episode, particularly now that this group wants more guns. I'm ok with how they found the guns and the carnival scene was sort of cool, but the execution was terrible. I could go on and on about what I didn't like about the episode but I'm not going to waste my time.
