The Walking Dead (Official Thread)

I didn't hate the episode.....but [Mark May] like Rick lining the truck up so it easily slides right into the lake, come on. I'd expect that from some of the dumber people still left, but not Rick. That whole scene with the two of them was like they were high. They can survive the zombie apocalypse and people like the Governor and Terminus and everything else that has been thrown at them.....but one ninja with a beard and long hair takes them by surprise like 10 times.
He was only a ninja at times; to escape initially from Rick and to get on top of the truck without being heard. Other times he was easy to tackle and overpower.

I am with you guys; story episode to set up the remainder of the season. Get people excited about "Richonne" as they called it on the Talking Dead show; put an end to the former leader's story and get some traction for the son as a sympathetic figure. Wasn't terrible.

Spencer is going to fuck some people up. I can see him going postal with that shovel. Also I love how the show spends 2-3 episodes meticulously generating face heat for Coral...only to immediately return to making him the most annoying fuck on the show, complete with petulant teen angst with the other useless tripe Enid, who they have done the same thing with. It's like Vince Russo is directing the script half the time.

I will say the Richonne pairing at least makes sense, given their entire history and the fact they didn't rush it. It's a significant step up from the awkward Sasha pass-arounds, Lori double bonings, and Andrea trains of the past.

After that clown show, I'm not sure how Rick and Darryl have actually survived this long. What a couple of asshats. Alexandria needs a vote of no confidence in the current dictatorship.
 I think he has already given that to himself. One thing I actually am interested in is whether this new more passive Rick will submit to Negan, at least initially, for the good of the larger group...something he would have never done before. That's at least a character arc worth exploring.

And I still believe, and will until the final episode airs, that they are foreshadowing Darryls death, not Glen's at the end. I've seen dozens of clues and patterns to that effect... Including bringing him back front and center a few episodes ahead, like they did with Beth and Herschel (and Bob, and others)

There is something going around on the interwebz from the midseason premier. Right when Daryl blows up all the bikers, a car can be seen pulling up in the distance. Speculation that it was Negan and he saw Daryl kill all his people.............That, or just a horrible production mistake and someone drove into the shot.

That's just one of many reasons I think it will be Darryl. Another is the should we/shouldn't we on new people. There are many others. I think he is toast.

Ahh, I saw it after watching again. That would make sense. But if they get rid of Darryl, that might lead to a mutiny of fans. I personally would much rather see Glenn go than Darryl.
