Judging by next weeks preview, I'd say we are going to start back into more human vs human subplots over human vs zombie

You mean "House Hunters: Zombie Apocalypse"? Not sure where that will be going...I am imagining that people like Darryl will have a hard time adjusting to a quasi-suburban life...?Judging by next weeks preview, I'd say we are going to start back into more human vs human subplots over human vs zombie
As I understand it, his lover set the flare off when he was in trouble...that was their communication between each other if something bad happened. I guess (?) the folks in the rv were the ones that rescued him.I wasn't fully paying attention when I watched last night. Who set the flare off....and why did it freak the new guy out so much? That seemed to be the only time he broke character.
I liked it as well. The nod to Dale with the RV scene between Glen and Abe was cool
Always cool when they go back and layer in previous characters...you get so caught up in previous season(s) you forget about them. I thought the episode was pretty good. The flare to the head was sweet and now we have our first post-apocalyptic gay couple. I liked the view of DC coming in as well. I also think Michonne's character development is fantastic...not rushed and not too slow either. She is not a wide-eyed optimist now, but she is coming around to an idea that there is some hope out there other than scavenging. I do not think he assertiveness is going to cause any split...if anything, she is a sub-leader and a potential voice of reason that Rick respects. Overall, I really enjoyed the episode.
Technically Tara and Alisha (I had to look up both their names, I never can remember Tara's to begin with) are the first gay couple, unless you're specifically referring to "gay" as two dudes.
I mean, there's what...5 episodes left this year, so 5 1/2 hours now. I am wondering what they're going to do with that now that they've basically completely uprooted and are now entering a Woodbury-esque situation. It seems to me that either a) they are going to introduce some characters and dynamics for next season, which means it will be boring as fuck, or b) they are going to have to rush into and through something, in which case they might miss an opportunity. I don't know, it's like I don't really know what to hope for anymore, I anticipate they will be in Alexandria all season next year, so how much can really happen between now and then?http://comicbook.com/2015/02/25/the-walking-dead-season-5-finale-extended-to-90-minutes/
The comments on Facebook are great "30 extra minutes? So, 20 minutes more of commercials and 10 minutes for more story."
Likely, but they butchered Woodbury pretty badly in that regard. The transition into Alexandria, I would think, will open up story lines dealing with other groups of humans.

what would be better....walk around looking for a safe place, find it, it's actually safe and now you have a show about people rebuilding the world with no harm from zombies? At this point, I'm ready to see the new alternative show. tWD is just shampoo-rinse-repeat. Walk around looking for a safe place, get there, shyt the bed, repeat...
At some point, the Mad Max-ishness of the show will have to run its course...you can only watch a small wandering band of nomads dodge massive hoards zombies for so long, and remember, they weren't even sure this show would go past the first 6-8 episodes at first...they were all originally scripted to die at the CDC if it wasn't renewed. I think this could be a sign of a transition (as I understand the comics to be) from the original shock, upheaval, and chaos of the outbreak, to slowly the survivors trying to reach some sort of new homeostasis in the "new world". This Alexandria place could be that transition, as I know they have at least picked up next year. It still leaves room for the primal instincts of man and zombie danger being around every corner...but also becomes about a "new world" instead of exclusively about the loss of the old one. I don't know, I can see it really working or really not.what would be better....walk around looking for a safe place, find it, it's actually safe and now you have a show about people rebuilding the world with no harm from zombies?
