it almost sounds like taos is proposing waiving the minimum wage for illegals / mexicans / dirty crop pickers.

somewhat of a racist law, one that i would be willing to accept in exchange for increased access to legal immigration.

i honestly think it would help this country and the people coming here in the end to grant them the exclusive right to work at very low wages.

That's one idea to make it happen. I'm not opposed to such a thing because of the economics. I'm a liberal but I believe in making the economics work. And you create the opportunity for the American Dream. So many are working illegally here anyway. Why not legalize them to start at the bottom? Does this make sense?

Because rewarding people who do illegal things works out so well :roll1:

A desire for amnesty doesn't equate to, nor need it coexist with, a desire for open borders. Two entirely different issues.
Wrong. You cannot have one without the other...period. There are simply far too many illegals in this country to grant them blanket immunity without implying that anyone else after that will also be immune from immigration laws.

Uhhhh ... yes, you can. Except, obviously, in MiliWorld, but we all know that to be a pretty unusual place.

MaxBuckLand must be an alternate universe, where you can grant amnesty to millions of illegals yet expect to retrict immigrant flow at the borders.

I would like to buy a multi week pass to each park just to say I saw them both.
