so the frat outing at shamrock fell through, but i still had to come back to the 'bus. we tried to play royal american yesterday but got rained out after 6. i haven't been to bed yet (been boozin for 18 hrs), but we are about to take off and go play Bent Tree. I've always heard good things about that track so i'm looking forward to it. hopefully i don't chop it up. THEWOOD, wish u were here bro!

Bent Tree is a blech course. Not worth the price of admission. Would much rather play Royal American or Blackhawk (in the same general vicinity)

Played Longaberger yesterday. Good time. Course is in good shape and the cost is down. (79 for a round through this Friday then 99 for the rest of the season)

You don't get the towel anymore but you still get a locker, etc... They also have the next generation of GPS units on the carts. Removable so you can take the unit to your shot, or the tee boxes on 3s. Also works as a touch screen where you can point to a part of the hole on the screen and it will give you your distance.

Next round might be back to reality courses for someone like me. (Split Rock, Oakhaven, etc....) although I am thinking about playing in the Spielman Scramble....

Blackhawk blows.

Not real long plus the people who work there are pricks.

Act like they are running a country club.

Might not be the greatest course, and not as good as Royal American, but the layout is better than Bent Tree and while the course is only 100 yds shorter from the tips, it is $22.00 less on the weekends to play. Hence my comment on why I would rather play golf there in that area.

I liked Bent Tree the time I played it. It was in immaculate shape at the time.
