THE GAME: ttun @ tOSU, Sat Nov 26, 12pm, FOX

This is a big game for Day. If he loses, the whispers of "Cooper" will start. Fair or not.
I think we're gonna see a 2020 Clemson type game. TTUN has done nothing but run their mouths for an entire year and our guys have, publicly, shut up and taken it. I think we'll see what the coaches and the players have been doing with it on Saturday.

Fuck 'em.

Don't know about the bonafides here, but someone retweeted this into my feed.

https://sicscore.com/cfb/updates/blake-corum-injury-michigan-running-back-exits-after-hit-to-knee

"Based on multiple video angles, the injury mechanism is consistent with an MCL sprain with a possible bone bruise, according to the Pro Football Docs.

Either way, he is likely to miss next week's massive matchup against No. 2 Ohio State."
That’s a crock. His knee was bent in the right direction the whole time. His foot popped off the ground just as he got hit and flew in the air. His leg didn’t twist or bend in any unusual direction. I thought at the time that it just looked like a painful hit with no tendon damage and the MRI confirmed that. If he’d torn a tendon then the medical staff wouldn’t have cleared him to return to the game. The pain was obviously still bothering him so they sat him to save him for this week and let CJ Stokes carry the load.

Will he be ready to play this week? He was still limping yesterday. He said he’d be in Columbus, said he’d be fine, but we’ll have to wait and see. They may wait to see how the game goes. I’m not sure about the status of Donovan Edwards. But The Game has healing powers so if Corum can go then I assume he’ll play through the pain.

If I was Coach Day, I would have Urban Meyer and Jim Tressel on weekly calls - maybe even bring in Urban before The Game. I hope Coach Day has some tricks up his sleeve like JT, like he pulled against Clemson. It’s not that he needs them, but it makes the W even sweeter.
Bring in Urban for Senior Tackle to play the role of Earle (RIP) and get the team fired up.

We aren't the Buckeyes of the Tressel and Meyer years. We just aren't going to over power them. For better or worse. We have to do what UGA did, and just embarrass them with speed. We can't play their power game and win. I think we have tried the extra lineman thing, and it sucked.

We have to own that we just aren't made to overpower the other team, but that's ok, because we are better suited to match up against elite SEC teams than they are.

I hope Day and Wilson have keyed in on the UGA game. That's how you destroy those turds.
I’m thinking CJ and MH and EE are our studs. Roll with them ..UX will think every run is a win for the them. Because they can play the run,. Run it late to ice it.

Honestly, knowing Buckeye fans, I was kind of surprised I didn’t hear calls for Day’s head last year. If he loses again this year I’ll be shocked if I don’t see it. The guys on the radio have reported seeing calls to fire Day on Twitter after some game this year (maybe Northwestern?) but I don’t follow Twitter and don’t put much stock on what any rando says on there.

I’m always concerned about The Game. The only time I wasn’t was in 2009, RichRod’s last year, where they were so bad that thousands of Weasel fans sold their tickets to Buckeyes and the Big Hole was crowded in scarlet. That O-H-I-O chant going around their stadium was a beautiful thing.

I’m still concerned this year, but they’ve been building for this and overall I feel pretty confident. They obviously didn’t have the same energy on Saturday as Maryland did but I expect them to be fully jacked this week. They’ve had constant reminders all year about how they were “soft” in last year’s game, and they were. They should be pumped up like Bo’s first team was in ‘69, or like the Bucks were in ‘70. They have the edge on talent and they have the advantage of playing at home. I don’t expect 42-14. I don’t expect a perfect game. But I expect them to show up and play a complete game from start to finish with energy and toughness. Hit them hard and see how they fall.

And for God’s sake, when they need 1 freaking yard, line up, run it up the middle and get it. Championship teams can do that.

It is that week. At our Buckeye alumni game watch in town, some douche of a scUM fan (I know, that is a given) came in and starts running his mouth and trying to pick fights with our geriatric alumni, total classless move and just fueled my hatred for the team up north even more. He kept screaming "Go Terps" along with a couple other haters but when the clock struck zero, I had a perfectly coordinated "We don't give a damn for the whole state of *ichigan" song going with 50+ Buckeyes strong all staring directly at him the entire song. He tried to yell over it, we just kept singing. He said he would be going to The Game and I said I will see him there, and give him no advice about going to the game given his obnoxious behavior to our alumni, other than if he acts like that in Columbus he will not have a good experience.

That is a precursor to the feeling sinking in that is I am flying back to Columbus to watch The Game with my dad as he finally gets his retirement. Beers will be had at Varsity Club the second it opens, and more to come at the local tailgates. Adriatico's pizza will be consumed the night before. We will breath in the cold November air in Ohio as anti-*ichigan chants and songs reverberate through Columbus. I am so excited for this game that words can't even describe it. I will have no voice after this game is over and you can mark my words on that.

I will do my part this week to beat that God-forsaken state into the ground. I will just leave the gif below to express my emotions and will give real analysis when the time comes. Until then...
