THE GAME: ttun @ tOSU, Sat Nov 26, 12pm, FOX

I can say that the lack of post game statements from various well known OSU pundits, and the quiet acknowledgment from the staff is an ominous sign that some big heat is coming down right now.

I think there are some people doing the talk right now. A uncomfortable type of talk.

Day seemed resigned and confused post game.

It's the quiet that is kind of more telling than anything right now.

Something is happening. Not drastic, but strong arm bullshit definitely.

I don't think we get in. But if we did and are able to get healthy, no one would want to play OSU. Henderson, Myian, and Jsn back would be concerning for any defense
Does that fix giving up 6 plays over 50 yards for scores though?

Does it fix our inability to sync our running and throwing game?

Or our inability to find a proper rotation on defense?

I'm with you in that I'd want a shot at the playoffs. Only because at least the next game wouldn't be pointless then. Make no mistake though I have no reservations that we'd even keep it close vs UGA.

I'd think health could fix a lot of the issues on offense. Our inability to cover a cold 1 on 1 D? Who knows I doubt it but more time in the system wouldn't hurt either

No, I never said it fixes any of that stuff. But time off would make the Buckeyes extremely dangerous. That's all I am saying.

Also I never said I wanted OSU to get in the playoffs. Was just saying if they magically did.. and had 4-5 weeks to get healthy....

I am not sure multiple years aren't needed before the secondary will look acceptable at this point

Frankly next year we should be improved.

I think Styles and Stokes have much higher ceilings at safety. We just need a corner... maybe that's Hancock but Burke/Johnson need to improve a lot.

Also sorry for being snappy a bit. Just frustrated after the game.

We really played man to man all game..even when scum couldn’t run the ball cover zero no help over the top. And never adjusted..Knowles has to answer for that..my god..
He will look at his press conference in his thread he owned that shit. His answers make me feel a lot better about the D. It's Day I am worried about. The not fixing the O issues seemed to have him perplexed. Like he took Harbaugh and Gattis to heart and it was just a little toughness needed not no matter how talented you are you can't just be predictable and expect your guys to win all the time

Just watched someone ram their vehicle straight on into a brick wall at the hotel. Could always be worse?

I do know we let them have it from start to finish in the stands. Tried to make it difficult for them. Our throats are shot. We were out there from 5am-5pm, spent the last hour walking back while they chuckled it up and put their horns on blast in the streets. I only have so many fingers.

Not sure where things go from here. This one hurts.

Jsn has unofficially opted out. Hamstrings are bad injuries but not 3 month long ones
Exactly, and if it really wasn't healed by today we need some changes in the training staff. Hire a yoga coach. He did nothing all year, but he does appear in DSW stores modeling the latest addidas's. Are NIL contracts robbing our players of that killer mentality on the field.

Knowles had the right plan and the wrong personnel to pull it off. He was between a rock and a hard place trying to stop the rushing attack and he clearly had it figured out until the secondary couldn’t be trusted to stay within 20 yards of their guys.

today was the culmination of 3 years of poor secondary development. The DBs suffered because Coombs was spending his time trying to do a job he wasn’t qualified to do. Nobody developed. They have terrible face guarding habits because of Coombs. The story of today is how incompetent the secondary coaching was from the day Hafley walked out the door.

This is Ohio State. You should be able to at least be in the same camera shot as the guy you’re defending if you’re in coverage and if you can’t, that’s on you.

And lay off JSN. He could’ve packed it in immediately like Bosa but the dude clearly wanted to be out there. If there’s a failure there, it’s on the coaches for not being patient enough. Rushing someone back is how a hammy can turn into a 3 month ordeal.
