The Game, tOSU at ttun, Nov. 27th,12pm FOX (3654 down to 0)

I don't really think it's a fair question. Who would you rather have?

Nobody. Nick Saban ain't going anywhere, and he's the only clear answer. I know you kind of said nobody was looking to other coaches, but if we're going to judge Ryan Day, we have to look at other coaches. To me, he's proven to be at the top of the pack.

Hey man, I love dark humor (I lol'd at your post). I don't think brodawg was joking today. He was also like 60.
Today, I agree with you. But he needs to get the D fixed.

Simply can't believe some of the nonsense in this thread. Start looking at other head coaches? Is Ryan Day good enough? Talk about entitled, arrogant little bitches.

Ryan Day just lost his first Big Ten game in three years after setting the record. He has a losing record in bowl games - because his bowl games are playoff games. He has recruited 4 of the 6 highest rated recruits in OSU history - and none of them have been around long enough to earn a starting spot yet.
The original question was: Is Ryan Day a great coach or simply a very good coach? It was a fair question. Day hasn't answered it yet.

Losing to scUM matters. Getting blown out by scUM matters more.

Losing playoff games matters. Getting blown out in playoff games matters more.

When your program is set up to be the very best and is expected to be the very best, it's not being an entitled arrogant little bitch to point out when it's not producing the best, and to question the people who are in charge.

And guess who's also questioning whether Ryan Day is good enough? Ryan Day.

Anyone considering a 2 score game in this day an age a blow out is crazy.

Dead on why Saban is great. Even his losses are very close and chances to win. Getting blown out doesnt happen to him, maybe once vs Clemson since his third year or so at Bama. Totally correct about getting blown out or manhandled

Pretty sure we were all around for:

2013 D
2015 everything
2018 D

(which doesn't even include guys like Smith)

This revisionist painting of urban is a bit much. He got it done in one game better, and clearly has the hardware everywhere to get the benefit of the doubt. But there was a lot of bad hiring. He needs 2-3 more bad seasons to match the '15 / '18 mistakes.

Agree. Meyer is a legend and gets a longer leash obviously, but there were cracks in the coaching staff for much of his tenure. IMO, Day is the main reason he didn't end his OSU tenure with a couple 3-4 loss seasons. Also, while he inherited amazing talent, Day is also still dealing with the last disastrous wave of defensive coaching and recruiting.

Could Stroud still win heisman ..Young stinking it up so far.

Honestly?

Hopefully he got his 1 win and he runs away.

I don't want a close game. I don't want a future #2 vs #5 next year. I want a win...

If that means he cashes in on his success now? Fuck it.

I cannot believe we lost man.

We threw everything away today. At a minimum I hope we get Oregon.

Seek help, both of you.

I have a strict no ban idiots rule when I am 10 drinks (+) in. But I will be going back through this tomorrow. So.... If anyone is thinking, "Boy, maybe I should delete that stupid hot take"
.
Well, maybe you should.
