So there's no challenge? Neat. Few here wants a strong michigan, but cowering in fear and hoping all difficulty is gone is a very different thing.
I cannot believe we lost man.

We threw everything away today. At a minimum I hope we get Oregon.

I felt like the entire tone of the game was set by their first drives of each half. 1st half - Fleming botches the kickoff, leaving us starting from inside the 5. Wypler (who wasn't good all day), botches the snap. 1st drive of the half is done. 2nd half - 3 straight uninspired runs up the gut. 3 and out. 1st drive of the half is done.

No tone was set, and the Buckeyes played from behind from the get go. Today was an uninspiring performance all around. Only CJ and the skill players seemed to show up.

And only one of those teams dominated their opponents. Cincy has been in dogfights with a lot of bad teams.

Not in love with the offense today but even with the lack of adjustments but they did enough to win if the D could get a fucking stop. The D has been a boat anchor around the neck of this team all year, and the games where we kept the points low was an outlier, not the trend.

Yep D made the O have to be perfect. They could have been perfect and still won that game. It would have felt like Olahoma though with the O constantly pulling the D's ass from the fire.

They start a combined 16 seniors and 6 juniors on D. That is 22 upper classmen out of 22.

Michigan starts 9 juniors and seniors. We started 5 sophomores and a Frosh.

That shit matters. It isn't all about coaching.

I don't think anyone said look at other coaches though... They just question how good Day really is, which is a fair question considering he was handed the keys to a lamborghini. No one thinks he should be fired

Not only that but it was the same damn play call 3 times. That bothered me. The entire halftime that's what you came up with?

Agreed. I thought it was great to get Henderson involved. And I don't think it was bad to aim to run the ball. But why you wouldn't vary it up. We had so much more innovation against MSU (end arounds, misdirections, etc.).

I don't really think it's a fair question. Who would you rather have?

Nobody. Nick Saban ain't going anywhere, and he's the only clear answer. I know you kind of said nobody was looking to other coaches, but if we're going to judge Ryan Day, we have to look at other coaches. To me, he's proven to be at the top of the pack.

EDIT: I'm playing semantics pretty hard here. I have no issues with criticizing the coach, no matter who it is. Kind of lumped your post in with some others. I do think he's a top 5 coach. Maybe top 2.
