I think he said it privately to the team, and it got leaked out. Now, I think that saying those things could have instilled a false sense of complacency and arrogance and shouldn't have been said to the team. But it's not like he was talking smack through reporters like multiple scum coaches have.

Day needed to see that and use Miyan More. Miyan was gashign them going veritcle instead we tried to pound henderson and run Miyan outside the rest of the game. Also for the love of gob when they have six in the box quit fucking motioning a tight end and wr in and ended up with 8 or 9 in the box

This revisionist painting of urban is a bit much. He got it done in one game better, and clearly has the hardware everywhere to get the benefit of the doubt. But there was a lot of bad hiring. He needs 2-3 more bad seasons to match the '15 / '18 mistakes.

Ultimately, to me this came down to red zone performance. Turn 2 UM TDS into field goals and both OSU field goals into TDS and OSU wins 35-34. Or even one fg each and it’s 38-31 with OSU driving to tie.

Ryan Day just lost his first Big Ten game in three years after setting the record. He has a losing record in bowl games - because his bowl games are playoff games. He has recruited 4 of the 6 highest rated recruits in OSU history - and none of them have been around long enough to earn a starting spot yet.
Yes, our 10 game streak against our rival ended. Our rival was playing at home on a field that favored running over passing. They were more motivated and more experienced. And like it or not they have a pretty talented team. They were the better team today. On that field. It sucks. Now get over it.
Our D was not what we would have liked.
There are two teams this season who have consistently dominated their opponents. Georgia and Cincy.
They start a combined 16 seniors and 6 juniors on D. That is 22 upper classmen out of 22.
Michigan starts 9 juniors and seniors. We started 5 sophomores and a Frosh.
That shit matters. It isn't all about coaching.

Day reminded me Beck a bit. If it is working stop using it. If it isn't working, keep calling the same plays because one will expect you to keep running low percentage plays. Not in love with the offense today but even with the lack of adjustments but they did enough to win if the D could get a fucking stop. The D has been a boat anchor around the neck of this team all year, and the games where we kept the points low was an outlier, not the trend.
Day didn't help the cause, but he wasn't the reason either. Clean house on D. You cannot expect the O to carry the entire team every competitive game if your goal is conference champs, playoffs, or national titles.

I don’t think people remember how close Urban came to losing to SCUM at least three times. And only 2016 SCUM team was as good as this current version. The rest were all mediocre as fuck.

Michigan played a perfect game. I'll tip my cap to them. Sure the Buckeyes had false starts left and right, they're young, etc. But, Michigan executed their plan throughout the game and came up bigger when it mattered most. Is what it is. Can't win 'em all. Props to them for being the better team today.
And on a more negative note, if you are one of the dickhead Buckeye fans that I had to deal with today, fuck yourself. If you're the guy who said he hoped Michigan's bus crashes and that their team burns to death, fuck yourself. Grow the fuck up.
