Gene Smith Day was on staff..Wilson on staff..just saying. We don't do safe here.
Wilson? No, thanks. If Day leaves I'm on the phone to Luke Fickell.
Not about to go back and check, but did anyone see Tyliek out there much/ever? They badly miss Tommy.
The struggles at DE are well documented, but a proper nose (and Haskell in his proper spot) could have changed a lot.
He just can't keep his mouth shut:Did Harbaugh really just say something about being born on third and thinking they hit a triple?
If so, this should keep the fires warm for the next 365 days. This could be fun!
Day deserves at least 1 more years guys. I am furious but I do realize the weather stifled his High Flying offense and that's even he knew his defense was garbage.
I like Ryan Day as a head coach - a lot.
But the fact remains that he is now 1-1 vs scUM and 1-2 in bowl games. It's still early for Day, but Urban Meyer was 7-0 vs scUM and 5-2 in bowl games with a national championship (in year 3), and Jim Tressel was 9-1 vs scUM and 6-4 in bowl games with a national championship (in year 2). Ryan Day is clearly behind that curve.
And surprisingly, Day is not a very good play caller - very little creativity and insists on pounding the ball inside when neither his RB nor his OL is designed for power football.
All of the above is in addition to the defensive woes that have plagued this team in 2020 and 2021.
There's still time for Day to prove that he's a great coach, but that time is already running out. 2022 has to be OUR YEAR, or else it's not going to happen with Ryan Day.
Calls for Luke Fickell are echoing across social media this evening. Obviously, Day isn't getting fired but if chose to leave and Fickell replaced him I wouldn't be mad.
The only way Day would leave is if the NFL (Chicago?) came calling. I doubt that happens, so he needs to get started on addressing the weaknesses exposed today.

I said it earlier. Hate to use this word but losses make this fanbase go full retard.Jeez you to make fun or spoiled Bama and Clemson fans then you go off like this. He's a young coach there will be some bumps we didn't have with Meyer but also he's not been blown the fuck out by Purdue.
He's been to the playoffs twice and lost one Big Ten game guys. With all the defensive issues etc. IF he turns u into Oklahoma sure make a change but allow him to try to fix this first.
Have another beer, clown.Ttun stating we fucked up by stating we wanted to hang 100 and stepping on JJs jersey...
Honestly bring UFM back.
He got it. He got that you don't disrespect your rival.
Yet that's exactly what Ryan did.
Shame on us man.
scUM's defense had more to do with it....when you're dropping 2 deep safeties 30 yards on a lot of plays, it's hard to go big over the top.
