I think Hamilton is going to be extra important against the run for this game. I agree that this game isn't where Hall excels. Not saying I'm taking him off the field very often, but Hamilton needs to be getting ready for ttun without a doubt. Malone is another candidate.Tyliek is 300+ so he’ll be fine but IMO this isn’t the game for Mike Hall.
Personally my dream set up is this.
Sawyer-Hamilton-Hall-Williams-JT
Then the back 6 of the following
Eichenberg- Simon
Burke-Davison- Styles-Proctor
Now that’s a physical ass defense.
The thing is I don’t think we lose the ability to cover with this line up either. Give me our Corners against their skill all day and our safety duo can more than handle Loveland too.
We’ve got to do something vs their heavy look and I think Hall over the center would be gross for Michigan to cover. It’ll be important to limit their first down success because if they’re sitting 2nd and 6 every time that’ll be a pain
I’m getting there too and I totally agree with the development part. Why I won’t do DSA for this game
#1) DSA is extremely time consuming
#2) Without complications that go way beyond the interest level of anyone, me included, DSA cannot capture where this Ohio State team is at
I said early on that, unless the Buckeyes improve a lot more than was likely, they wouldn’t win 10 games this year, let alone play in the B1G ccg. Well, that was in September when I was only half paying attention to football and hadn’t been on BP in a long time, but I said it to my brother
Well… the development of this team has been remarkable, and their improvement has gone way beyond what I thought was probable. Their performance is therefore a bit of a moving target that a season-long averaging like DSA tends to miss. DSA by itself won’t tell you how good this team is, because IMHO the Buckeyes have improved more than anyone else, literally anyone else in the country.
Some of you might recall that Tiger Woods struggled for awhile in his prime because he changed his swing. He sacrificed half a season or more of results, but after he sorted it out he was better than ever. (Until his wife lost her mind, but that’s a different story)
Well, the Buckeyes changed their swing. They managed to stay undefeated anyway, and now they’re rounding into form at the right time.
I can hear some of you now
“What if TCUN can still cheat.” I know some of you are at least thinking it.
Did you see the videos of what they looked like when they were executing their cheating? To say they were being obvious about it is an understatement. It’s a miracle they weren’t caught sooner. Do you really think those same people can execute on the same cheating scheme surreptitiously? With everyone watching? And get away with it? …Please
I know Vegas still has TCUN as the favorite. And I’m going to stick to my principle of never betting.
But I’ve never been more confident of a Buckeye victory in The Game, and DSA has nothing to do with it
While I agree totally, the flip side is there is a fairly high probability that tCun locker room and coaching staff will be in total chaos by that point. I'm hoping they lose tomorrow, and by the time THE GAME rolls around they are defeated before they ever take the field. One thing all of this TCUN garbage does is put more pressure on Ryan Day. The cheating has been exposed, Harbaugh is suspended, un and if his Buckeyes lose again the gloating from up north will be unbearable. Let's just say we down here won't be happy about it, and by "we" I'm including people with a lot more influence on OSU athletics than little old me.
With the way things are going, much of the team may be in jail before they take the field. I don't know of any crimes, but I'm just extrapolating from the current trend. While I agree totally, the flip side is there is a fairly high probability that tCun locker room and coaching staff will be in total chaos by that point.
