While FanDuel lists Ohio State as a 1-point underdog in the late November matchup at Michigan, DraftKings favors the Wolverines even more, listing the Buckeyes as a 2.5-point underdog in The Game.
That's where the game should be until we prove we aren't going to break late in the 4th.

We better expect a 4 quarter fight in a phone booth because that's what it'll be. Stop the run and run the damn ball.

IMO, how we win copying their game plan. Run the ball, keep their offense off the field, and force them to sustain drives.

Being an underdog, on the road and having lost 2 straight gives us an edge mentally. However I thought that last year and that didn't go as planned.

Overall I'm pretty damn concerned. I'm always concerned about this game but their offense is just terrifying to me. I still don't think their QB is all that great but their OL and their backs are just straight up weapons. If there's ever a game where the defensive line needs to come through its this one.

12. MICHIGAN (NOV. 25, AWAY)

Average Ranking: 12
High Rank: 12
Low Rank: 12

Just as the staff unanimously agreed that Youngstown State will be the easiest win of the season, we all agreed that beating Michigan will be the toughest task of the season for Ohio State.

That speaks to how the tenor of the rivalry has changed over the past two seasons as the Wolverines have earned back-to-back wins over the Buckeyes in decisive fashion. Michigan, ranked second nationally in the major preseason polls, could have an even better team this year than it’s had the past two years, and playing The Game in Ann Arbor will only make the task of beating the team up north tougher.

Beating Michigan is undeniably the biggest priority for Ohio State entering 2023, but with the way the last two years have gone, a win over the Wolverines can no longer simply be expected. Ryan Day and the Buckeyes are now in the position of having to prove they can rise to the occasion in the biggest game of the year, and because it is expected to be the most difficult game of the year, Ohio State’s performance in all of its first 11 games will be viewed through the lens of whether it’s good enough to win The Game.

Just want to note the change in the tone of "The Game" posts. The banter about plungers, star counts, and "hang a hundred" has been replaced with caution.

Yeah, this game will be won where it's always been won, in the trenches. And maybe Hairbaugh is not the idiot his first five years seem to indicate.

Our safeties will be the most important position group of the game
We need to fill the run gaps.. something our LBs have not been good at
so we're going to need the safeties to play the game of their year
and plug the running holes and corners

I think to win the game our front 7 has to play their best game in a long time. I don’t think the Michigan offense really can stress our secondary but I’m pretty worried about wearing down.

Not too optimistic about this game if I had to land somewhere (been back and forth when I get a few drinks in me mainly lol) but this team has been tested all year. We’ve got to control the LOS.
