I'm all for the Trojans now. they beat Cal and we'll get the winner of USC-ND. I love Rutgers and what they are doing there but don't think people will respect a natl championship won over Rutgers...

It wouldn't be over Rutgers. It would be over TSUN.:oh: :io:

I don't want a rematch either. If you think people wouldn't respect a championship against Rutgers.....wait'll you see what happens if we hook up again in Glendale and Michigan wins. A title's a title, but the only proper thing after that would be for OSU to take the AP title and Michigan the contractually obligated coaches' title. A split, for a 1-1 tie. And after that, the playoff talk - I hope a playoff never, ever, ever happens.

I'll take my Rose Bowl. It's the Granddaddy and it's a fine consolation prize. It's still as prestigious as ever. I'll root for Rutgers to win out and then pull off the moon-shot upset.

Okay, I've come back to my senses.

Hell of a game by the Wolverines, but bring on USC. Michigan may well be the true #2 team in the country, but they had a chance to beat us (a few chances) and didn't get it done.

USC needs to get it done in their last couple games.

I'll take it one step further - what if there is a OSU-UM re-match, and a one-loss USC/ND/Florida (or an undefeated Rutgers) blows out its bowl opponent? In that case, you might have three teams with legitimate claims to a national championship.

Clarity, I agree. TSUN may well be the second best team in the country, I sure think they are. But I don't want a rematch. I want USC or Florida.

This game should always be the national championship.

Woody, we got this one for you! Now, marshall your troops and take it to Bo!

it makes me sad that the BCS has ruined winning conference championships and going to "your" Bowl. it used to be all about a Big Ten title and a trip to Pasadena. shoot - in 69 Nixon awarded Texas the natl title in the locker room after beating Arkansas BEFORE ANY BOWL GAMES WERE PLAYED!

think of the outcry now if the Pres showed up and gave Tressel and the boys the natl title after today's game.

things change... but the Buckeyes are still the Big Ten Champs this year!
