The Basketball Tournament (Carmen's Crew = 2019 and 2024 Champions)

I like to think that this is a job interview for everyone out on the court, and these refs just cost themselves any sort of real job. Go back to high school ball.

As bad as it was it all of it wouldn't have mattered if lighty made the bunny at the end of regulation. Though there were 3 separate fouls on that play that they swallowed their whistles on too.

Yep, tie game. Lighty gets an open layup. Pump fakes one guy, then over adjusts on the next and can't lay the ball in 1 foot away. His athleticism should have been a dunk.

All around just ouch. Hopefully Boeheim's Army (ugh) wins and gets BP some cash.

This is a true definition of a charity game... what happened at the end? Looked like some of the boys wanted to go after each other...
yeah I think there was some "action" over by the sidelines across from the benches that the announcers did not mention and the cameras did not cover but there are definitely worst "hard feelings" discussed by a couple guys. I think Sully might have been involved..

Definitely Ravenel involved.

And you guys go ahead and call $163,000 paycheck (per player) a charity game. Challenge ALS certainly is a charity they were promoting, but this tournament is about a $2 Million winner takes all payout (divided amongst managers, coaches, players and fans). Also would have pocketed this website $1,000 thanks to the work of @BuckeyeNation27. Like I said, I'm competitive in my weekly pickup games still. Put those dollars in front of me and to go out the way they did, I'm definitely a getting heated.

Good job by Scoonie and others to let cooler heads prevail.

And yet they have referees unqualified to ref a youth rec league. For shame.

They really could have used Jamar Buter or Shannon Scott or Je'Kel Foster or PJ Hill... or almost anybody that can dribble the damn ball.

...or make a free throw down the stretch. The Bucks were seemingly going 1-for-2 in every trip to the free throw line in regulation. They only needed one more of those, to say nothing of Lighty's miss of the bunny right at the buzzer.

https://www.thetournament.com/about

The TBT is back for another year. I've already signed up and jumped through a couple of the hoops needed to gain points. As you can see a couple posts up, we were only 1 person away from winning $1,000 for BP. Part of that can be blamed on the late start we got on getting this up and running.....so I'm not making that mistake again.

I don't see an Ohio State team yet, but registration only started a week ago. Does anybody know if Scarlet & Gray will be doing this again?

The way to get money has changed this year. We now have to decide which team we think will win, and become a fan of that team. Since there's no OSU team yet, I grabbed a spot on the Syracuse team....but that can change up until June 29th. I'll leave it up to the community on which team we think will win it all.

Here's the link to sign up under me: https://www.thetournament.com/create-account/fan/556866e3d1197285874315
Signing up with that link will give me points....the more points, the more $$$ we could win, if the team we pick wins it all.

I am almost positive Ohio State alumni are going to be having a team in this tournament. I read a couple weeks ago where one of the sites for the tournament this year is going to be Capital University. I am starting to get emails about this tournament so I will try to help out with news.
