The Basketball Tournament Is Coming To Columbus
Team Scarlet & Gray will open play in the fifth annual The Basketball Tournament in Columbus this July.
Coached by former Ohio State point guard Scoonie Penn, who is currently OSU’s director of player development, Scarlet & Gray was eliminated in the TBT national semifinals last year by Team Challenge ALS in double overtime, 88-83. The Ohio State alumni squad featured former Buckeyes like William Buford, Aaron Craft, Jon Diebler, David Lighty and Jared Sullinger. Penn, who said on Tuesday that minor changes might be made to the roster, added that the group is eager to take care of unfinished business when the TBT tips off for a fifth consecutive year this summer.
“One thing I can tell you is our guys can’t wait,” Penn said. “Talking in our text chain, a lot of trash talking goes on, but a lot of good stuff, though. Craft, Lighty, Diebler, Buford, Sully, these guys can’t wait to come back and play in the TBT because we felt like we left it on the table last year.”
I can access my account but do not know which team to select so we get pointshttps://www.thetournament.com/news/who-are-scarlet-gray-tbt-2018
That link makes it look like they're going to play.

Probably the same team, ALS, that won it last year. You can look at all the rosters on the website which I did yesterday and they had ALS as the favorite. I do not know if the Ohio State team is adding any players that they did not have last year. The rankings were not complete when I looked at the teams yesterday.Remember, we can only get money if the team we back wins it all.
Adding Byron (B.J.) Mullens. Not sure what he’s been up to but adding that size should be a tough matchup for any pickup team.Probably the same team, ALS, that won it last year. I swapped into the Scarlet and Gray team, which launched us up to 2nd place.Adding Byron (B.J.) Mullens. Not sure what he’s been up to but adding that size should be a tough matchup for any pickup team.
I like the Scarlet team, still need more ball handling unless I missed someone too. That was a big issue/cost them last year.
