Apparently the former assistant coach was a little too much of a 'hands on' guy.

CBS

Report: Texas Associate AD Cleve Bryant fired

Austin, Texas -- Cleve Bryant, Texas' associate athletics director for football operations and a former assistant under Longhorns football coach Mack Brown, was fired earlier this year after an internal investigation determined he sexually harassed a female administrative assistant over a two-year period, according to documents obtained by ESPN.

A University of Texas investigator determined that Bryant made repeated unwanted sexual advances toward the woman and "the harassment was likely both verbal and physical."

ESPN's Outside the Lines program obtained documents from the university's investigation, which was prompted by a sexual harassment complaint filed by a football department staffer who graduated from Texas a few years ago.

She told investigators that Bryant pulled down her dress and fondled her breast after she asked about receiving a raise; that he repeatedly told her or sent text messages that he wanted to kiss her; and that he kissed her neck after blocking a doorway once, documents said. Two other women who work in the office allege that Bryant inappropriately kissed them in the past.

Bryant, a former head football coach at Ohio University, was on Brown's coaching staff at North Carolina and then went with him to Texas in 1998. Bryant coached wide receivers at Texas under then-coach John Mackovic from 1992-94 before going to North Carolina.

Bryant, who is married, denied all of the allegations, according to the documents. He declined to comment Thursday, said his attorney, Tom Nesbitt.

He transferred to Rice after that KO return. Like ... literally ... at halftime of The Game he said, "Fuck that! I'm outta here!"

The MOB's half time shows are always hilarious. My parents took me to a couple games as a kid just to see them rip on the other team.

$ECcess?
Introduction

Announcer:
Ladies and steers, welcome to the first halftime show not to be broadcast on the Longhorn T-V network. Presenting the Show Band of South Main, the Rice University Marching Owl Band!

Music:
(drum intro)

MOB:
"Go Rice!"

Field Action:
Band enters the field from the sidelines.

It Makes Cents

Formation:
S E C

Announcer:
After decades of saying "goodbye" to "Texas University," the Aggies. Finally. Left. Yes, it's official. As of eight o'clock central daylight time, A&M announced its intent to join Satan's Evil Conference. We congratulate the S-E-C and the Big Twelve, as both conferences improve their average I-Q.

[formation changes at the word "Satan"]

Formation:
$ E C

Music:
Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2

Field Action:
Satan conjures a ticket to the SEC, which appears oddly in the form of a teenage love note. Satan approaches a UT player with a ticket to the SEC, but Texas rebuffs him. Baylor begs Satan for an opportunity, but Satan doesn't see that relationship lasting ("B*tch, please."). On the rebound, Satan finds the Aggies (doing something simple and repetitive) and figures he's got an easy score; intrigued, A&M accepts the invitation and skips off into the sunset, hand in hand.

Divine Intervention

Announcer:
Speaking of Aggies, there's Texas Governor ? A-and-M alumnus ? Rick Perry. He looks like he needs a little direction. Okay, God, tell him. [long pause]

No? All right, everyone, let's try this:
Simon says, touch your ear.

MOB:
All touch their ear.

Announcer:
Simon says, jump up and down.

MOB:
All jump up and down while touching their ear.

Announcer:
Now run for President!

Field Action:
Rick Perry look-alike dashes toward a Barack Obama look-alike.

Announcer:
Nuh-uh! Simon didn't say!

So, the next time you go to the polls, ask yourself: is your candidate smarter than an Aggie?

Formation:
Outline of The State of Texas

Music:
School's Out (for Summer)

Field Action:
After Perry flunks out from Simon Says, members of the press attempt to interview Obama with Perry attempting to steal the show every chance he gets.

Satan watches, amused, eating from an over-sized bucket of popcorn.

Sad Cow Disease

Announcer:
Yes, Longhorn fans, Rick Perry isn't the only Texan desperate for a win this year. But don't worry, The MOB knows how to cure your sad cow disease, and dry the crying eyes of Texas. Whenever we're under the weather with a little irritable owl syndrome, there's only one prescription:

WIN. HOMECOMING.

Formation:
UH OH

Music:
Eye of the Tiger

Field Action:
Doctors examine UT and Rice football players, both are given pills and injections to "pump them up" for homecoming. While Rice gets up and runs for victory, UT merely falls down.

Every cloud has a silver lining, but if there aren't any clouds...

Announcer:
The MOB reminds you that water restrictions are in effect. Stay inside and take comfort that droughts like these only hit Texas Football once every eighteen years.

Music:
Louie, Louie

Field Action:
Exeunt all.

Garrett Gilbert out for the year after undergoing shoulder surgery for an injury... wait for it... suffered during the Rice game.... this post on shaggy kinda sums it up for me
Shaggy on Gilbert & his shoulder surgery
Week 1 - Played entire game against Rice and took some hits.

Practice - Zero reports of any GG injury issues.

Week 2 - Sucked horribly against BYU but played so little that he really didn't take any hits.

Practice - Zero reports of any GG injury issues.

Week 3 - Case and Ash solidify QB1 and QB2 in solid win against UCLA.

Announce season-ending surgery to repair damage allegedly suffered against Rice in order to (i) preserve year of eligibility through medical RS and (ii) establish excuse for piss poor BYU performance (bum shoulder).

It will be interesting to see if GG leaves the team immediately

Its kinda sad to see what happened to this kid... had he had more experience his freshman year... they mighta won that NC once McCoy got hurt... not its "dont let the door hit you on the way out". What ever is wrong with this kid its between the ears ... I hope he leaves and comes back to haunt the longhorns...

and to bad UT fans assume automatically he's getting a medical redshirt.... they don't just hand those out like candy.. well maybe at Alabama... oh thats medical hardship scholarships... gotcha

Well, having grown up in Alabama, and having watched quite a number of Swamp People episodes, Gator, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on the meaning of "hardship"

Source: Removal of Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe among OU's demands
A high-ranking source told The Oklahoman on Tuesday that OU wants hard and fast rules for Texas and the removal of Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe in order for the Sooners to stay in the conference

BY BERRY TRAMEL, Staff Writer,
Published: September 20, 2011

The University of Oklahoma is considering remaining in the Big 12, but only in a "reformed" version of the conference that includes restrictions on Texas' Longhorn Network and removal of Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe, a high-ranking source at a Big 12 school said Tuesday.

OU president David Boren said Monday the Sooners would decide soon between applying for Pac-12 membership or staying in the Big 12, and the source outlined the parameters for remaining in the Big 12.

"It's going to take major, major reforms" for OU, and thus Oklahoma State, to consider remaining in the Big 12, the source said. "We'd have to have an interim commissioner."

The source said the league presidents do not believe Beebe responded with adequate leadership to Nebraska's and Texas A&M's frustration, even though Beebe was rewarded last November with a contract extension through 2015.

The Big 12 has lost three members in the last 15 months, and "the relationships were so bad (with) the commissioner," the source said. The other reform the Sooners demand is Texas and ESPN retreating on some of their plans for the Longhorn Network.

I don't know how this kid convinced people he was any good, but people were talking about him after that NC game like he played well "all things considered". He played like shit until Bama called off the dogs. He couldn't even complete screen passes. I think the problems are more than just between the ears. He's not any good, either.
