Hell yeah. But they beat us fair and square...kicked our asses in fact...so the default position is to support the conference. I want the only team that beats us to be the best team in the Nation. Not hard to figure out, and it has props to Florida at the heart of my conference pride. If we have a good conference, Florida being conference champion means something.

And most of all I want that extra respect dap if and when we again are a one loss team trying to jump an undefeated team from a lessor respected conference. So there is a method to our conference loyalty that has at its core good old fashioned self interest.

That's all well and good, but Alabama just won their 8th, 13th, and 17th national titles.

I'd be pissed if I were you!

Did not say that. Of course they are happy the won their 49th National Championhip. They are Bama - the best team of all time!!!! I am only saying that it is a matter of pride that we have that string going. As I headed out from work an LSU fan told me he was struggling with how much he hated Saban versus winning 4 straight for the SEC. One of my Elder buddies at church is a big Bama money booster, and he was talking about how great four in a row would be. Yes he was more concerned that Bama won - but he was also psyched about that honor of a 4th straight.

You don't get it. We don't give a shit. You get to laugh at our conference pride, and we get to celebrate our conference winning our fourth straight BCSNC.

Seems like a good deal to me. :banger:
