Terrell Owens (official thread of nonsense)

You're making it seem like he's calling press conferences and asking for TV time just to bitch about Parcells. He was asked in a one-on-one interview with ESPN what the difference between Phillips are Parcells is, he answered. Then Keyshawn came riding in on his morality horse. He's not going out of his way to bash Parcells. It's just another case of ESPN trying to create drama, much like their weekly 'T.O., Parcells, and Cowboys on the verge of collapse' stories last year.
Tressel was Troy's coach in '06. Parcells is not Owens' coach in '07. Troy taking shots at Tressel in '06 would've had an affect on the team and atmosphere. Owens' taking shots at Parcells, after being continually asked about him in interviews by the same people who are now up in arms about his answer, has no affect on the team. Slight difference.

Neither of you answered the question.

I honestly couldn't care less about what either of you think of him as a person. Everyone already knows about his personality. Was he wrong about Parcells not utilizing him correctly and taking advantage of his talents, or do both of you know something that Owens and I, a Dallas that watches Dallas games, don't?

Very good post. I don't much like TO, but that doesn't have anything to do with the accuracy of his statements. There are a lot of ad hominem attacks going on in here, and no one has commented on the fact that TO was right--he wasn't properly utilized last season.

ESPN Hack: "What's the difference in coaching?"

Owens: "Parcells was a dick, man. He was hard on me and wouldn't throw me the ball enough. That made me drop passes. Coach Phillips sucks my dick."

And you don't get it. It doesn't matter whether he's "right" or not - and even that question is a matter of opinion.

He wasn't "right" to get on his soapbox and make everything about "him" again. His "team" is doing well. But all he seems to care about is how "he" is doing or how "he" is being utilized.

He wasn't "right" to personally attack Keyshawn when Keyshawn did not say anything personal about him. Again, whether he's "right" about being a better WR than Keyshawn doesn't excuse shit. That's not the point.

You defenders are totally missing it. It's not whether you agree with his statement. It's whether he should have said it. And that, in my opinion, is where TO fucked up again... and continues to fuck up again.... and again... and again. He's a dickhead. I don't care how many touchdown catches he's had, that fact will never change.

I stand by my statement that I sincerely hope someone fucks him up across the middle.

I love TO for calling Keyshawn's punk ass out.

Meshawn is a joke. Arrogant, and can't back it up.

TO backs up his shit by being the best receiver in the league.

Yeah, I mean all TO has to do is compare the number of Rings they have and the conversation is... oh, wait a minute... But you're right, I mean he's the #1 receiver on the best team in the league... oh, wait a minute....

Keyshawn was a tool when he was in the NFL, TO is still a tool, trying to defend either one is like trying to say which pile of shit smells better, but at this point, Keyshawn has more to show for it. All TO has is a highlight reel of him acting like an ass.

Here's one for the "what the hell?" department.

ESPN - A public affair: Owens has harsh words for Simpson - NFL

IRVING, Texas -- Terrell Owens has a message for Jessica Simpson: Stay away.

Simpson has become Public Enemy No. 1 among Dallas Cowboys fans because of a link being made between her appearance at Sunday's game and the poor performance of her new boyfriend, quarterback Tony Romo.

"Right now, Jessica Simpson is not a fan favorite -- in this locker room or in Texas Stadium," Owens said Wednesday.

The Cowboys lost 10-6 to the Philadelphia Eagles and Romo had what was statistically the worst game of his career, all while Simpson sat in a luxury box wearing a pink No. 9 jersey she proudly showed off for television cameras.

The problem for her is, Romo's previous worst game came last December at home to the Eagles when then-girlfriend Carrie Underwood was in attendance.

"With everything that has happened, obviously with the way Tony played and the comparison between her and Carrie Underwood, I think a lot of people feel she has taken his focus away," Owens said, echoing the chatter on sports-talk radio and blogs. "Other than that, she was high on my list until last week.

"Oh, I got a message for her when we make the playoffs. Just stay tuned," he added.
