Terrell Owens (official thread of nonsense)

Owens fined 'thousands' for videotape TD celebration
Associated Press

IRVING, Texas -- After seeing the videotape of Terrell Owens' latest touchdown celebration, the NFL office wasn't laughing.

Owens said Wednesday he was fined "a good chunk of money" -- which he later defined as thousands of dollars -- for a celebration that included him using the goal post and football to poke fun at the New England Patriots' spying scandal during Dallas' 37-20 victory over Miami this past Sunday.

A league spokesman said the fine was $7,500.

ESPN - T.O. irritated by Keyshawn's assertions about current team - NFL

In Dallas, Owens sharply criticized Johnson for defending Parcells, saying, "I challenge him to come down here and take my job. ESPN producers, let him go."

Asked in the locker room why Johnson would take the position he did Sunday, Owens said: "I'm probably the reason he's in the booth now. He's going to be a hater and throw me under the bus because he has to defend Bill. He won a Super Bowl and all, but you'd have to check the roster to know he was even on the team.
"We came out in the same year. He was a first-rounder and I was a third. Go compare our stats. He couldn't come down here now and be a third or fourth receiver on this team. Just compare our stats."
Owens swung between addressing the Cowboys-as-built-by-Parcells theory and responding to Johnson's comments.
"It's not a matter of me giving or not giving Bill credit," Owens said, according to The Dallas Morning News. "Everybody wants to make a big deal, that this is the team he built. It doesn't matter. ... My thing is give credit to Wade [Phillips]. The difference between Wade and Parcells is this: Parcells, he didn't use me as a playmaker; Wade, he got the staff, and that's what I'm being used as.

And there you have it. Terrell Owens everybody. The difference is always about him. Bow down and suck his dick. It has nothing to do with the progress of Tony Romo or a strong veteran defense. It's about him. Always has been. Always will be.

Dude he was just firing back at a bitter Keyshawn, Keyshawn is known for making out of line comments wheather he was on or off the field he deserved everything that Owens spit at him. Lets not make this sound like he's praising himself, because actually he is right, Parcells was old fashioned and he didn't utilize a lot of players right if you want to get technical and he wasn't about to change anytime soon. Sooooo............. the proof is in the puddin' same team better results because Dallas has a coach that coaches to the teams strengths now. Maybe T.O could have mentioned that they roll Romo out of the pocket more and that they give Barber the ball more other than 3rd downs and short yardage, but really........does he have the responsibility to.

I really don't think it's a big deal.

I mean seriously, who gives a shit? It's two cocky, selfish-type Wide Receivers jawing at each other to cause some drama.

Why does that kind of thing even get that much attention?

I mean, granted they're both pricks. But I will say that Keyshawn was sticking up for his coach, a coaching legend, and a friend. The fact that TO continually bashes Bill Parcells on a consistent basis comes to show that he does not appreciate anyone but himself... not even a coaching legend.
