They evidently weren't much help for the nearly 2 decades of raising him. He will have to want to rise to something more than being a punkass.

so the kid's working on getting his life straightened out and all you're concerned about is where he's gonna get drafted!? he's gotta work on staying outta jail first! give him a break...He would have gone higher if he had played at a higher level.
So, using your logic, Miss Montoya, we can fault your parents because you are the douchebag? Maybe, but I think you deserve most of the credit.LouisHMartinez said:They evidently weren't much help for the nearly 2 decades of raising him. Irizarry goes back home, enrolls at Youngstown State
Ex-OSU player not yet on football team

Troubled former Ohio State tight end Louis Irizarry has enrolled at Youngstown State but has no immediate plans to play football for the Penguins, a YSU spokesman said.
Youngstown State sports information director Trevor Parks said Irizarry was not on the YSU team, and had no knowledge of any contact between the player and Penguins coaches.
YSU head coach Jon Heacock is on vacation and was unavailable for comment. Jon’s brother, Jim, is an OSU assistant coach.
Irizarry and teammate Ira Guilford, a running back, face three felony counts of assault and robbery stemming from a May 1 arrest on the OSU campus.
A trial date has been set for Sept. 2.
In the meantime, Irizarry and Guilford have been barred from attending classes at Ohio State or being on campus.
Irizarry, a sophomore, was arrested June 7 on campus and charged with trespassing. He has a hearing in that case set for Thursday.
Irizarry is a native of Youngstown who graduated from Youngstown Ursuline.
The irony of his enrolling at YSU is that Buckeyes coach Jim Tressel coached the Penguins for 15 seasons before taking over at OSU in 2001.
Buckeyes athletics director Andy Geiger has said Irizarry’s and Guilford’s scholarships have been revoked, although he said if either were cleared of all charges he may reconsider.
Because Youngstown State is a Division I-AA program, should Irizarry be allowed to play for the Penguins, he would not have to sit out a season after transferring.

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Former Ohio State football player Louis Irizarry pleaded guilty Tuesday to robbery, NBC 4 reported.
Irizarry was accused of assaulting another Ohio State student and stealing his wallet in May.
In exchange for his plea, the assault and tampering charges were dropped.
Last week, former teammate Ira Bell-Guilford was sentenced to two years of probation and 45 days of house arrest for his involvement in the robbery.
Irizarry was sentenced to three years in jail. But the judge said he will release him after six months if he is a good prisoner.
