Duh

there's a real sadness to this...

the kid had the world by the ass... in three years he could have a degree from tOSU plus been an NFL tight end making a half mil a year ... and after the NFL he still could be positioned to make some very good money in the job market...

now, in three years, he'll have a felon record which pretty much ensures minimum wage for most of his life because he can't land a job with a felon background...

but I agree, there is a lot of truth to Stxbuck posting...

Fortunately for him a felon record does not keep him out of one job arena...the NFL. There a felon record is the equivalent of a Master's Degree...

The biggest head scratcher to me is how Duane went on and on about what a good kid LI was. I remember the "I thought they were my friends" post and the rightous indignation that followed.

Has Duane ever commented publicly about just how completely far off base he was with his charachter evaluation of LI? Not trying to bash Duane, but man oh man was he off on this one.

I haven't really been following this story at all, but how did Ira get off pretty much scott free with his involvement in the situation? Was he just there and did not take place in the actual altercation and robbing of the other student or what?

Ira hit the kid, but didn't rob him, I guess... He also cooperated from the get go, and paid reparations to the victim for his missed shool time... So he got probabtion... Also Izzy has a prior.

I think that he fooled everyone he came into contact with. Even when he was on the BN radio hour, he sounded like a well spoken, intelligent kid. He sure as hell had me fooled. I remember him talking about how the Engineering school would play a large part in his recruitment, etc.

Both Izzy and Guilford were both outstanding kids academically. I feel sorry for both families, but I don't feel bad for these two thugs at all. What a waste of talent. :pissed:
