The biggest thing about him is how he kept rolling out the line of "family matters" for the reason he missed the last couple games. He seemed to know there was an investigation going on of some sort. So why he stuck with that reason as opposed to something else is beyond me. He's come across as nothing but a puppet in regards to statements.


I'm not sure what else to say about Hokes involvement. The investigation, however shittily it was handled when Gibbons was a frosh, was supposedly closed when the girl didn't press charges. Not that I blame her if POS Lewan really did threaten her. But with the case closed, there wasn't anything Rich Rod could do back then.


If Hoke benched Gibbons when the investigation was REOPENED, there's not much else he could have done. Gibbons still hasn't been brought up on charges or anything. He missed the last couple games of his collegiate career because of it.

except it appears that gibbons kicked in a game three days after the investigation was reopened. maybe michigan's administration didn't want to ruin anyone's weekend, so they didn't tell Hoke that one of his players was being investigated for sexual assault until the following monday.
