Tay"LLLL"or "LLLL"ewan (douchebag)

If Lewan has shown Michigan fans anything, it was that he was not the great teammate some people try to make him out to be. Most fans on boards I read are pretty sick of him and are glad he's gone. You never know who really has real info, but I've read many reports of poor locker room leadership, only caring about his own personal play on the field, and being unlikable.

But you know, message board fodder is what it is. You believe what you want. Personally, I'm glad he and his drive killing holding/personal foul penalties are gone.

I don't think that it's him being unlikable. I think it's the fact that he's unlikable AND he played for TSUN. That's like a helping of syphilis with a side order of gonorrhea.

He will be missed in certain circles....

Just sharing a secondhand observation here, but an attorney I know, who has no particular interest in college football, mentioned to me that he happened to be in the Washtenaw County Courthouse on the same day recently that Lewan was in Court. One of his several observations, which he made repeatedly and emphatically, was that Lewan came across very clearly as a "gigantic dick".

Are you sure he didn't say "gigantic vagina" and you misunderstood? What with all the bleeding and such, it just makes sense.

Trust me, when it comes to OFFENSIVE linemen (not ones who play offense, but ones who offend), we know our stuff here in Nebraska.

All Conference on both sides of the ball:

Mike Caputo
Carl Nicks
Andy Christensen
Richie Incognito
Ndamukong Suh (not a knuckehead when he was here, but he's making up for lost time)
Christian Peter (According to The Boston Globe, Myra Kraft, the wife of Patriots owner Robert Kraft, personally demanded that the team cut all ties with Peter. It was the first time in NFL history that a drafted player had been waived by a team before the start of training camp.)

I agree with you that good offensive linemen are sadistic SOB's when they step on the football field, and I'm not going to dispute that you Huskers know linemen.

But in my experience, a lot of upper-tier O-linemen have some kind of a switch in their head. The nicest guy you'd ever want to meet out in normal society, but something triggers when he steps on the field and he becomes a mean sonofabitch. Because he has to. Lewan possibly carries that attitude off the field, as some do. But not all.

edit: And just to be clear, I did understand that you were just having a little fun with malicious dudes from Huskerdom. So my response maybe wasn't completely on point.

There was a study about 10-15 years ago or something like that which found the offensive linemen usually had squared away locker areas while defensive linemen were usually slobs and had their stuff all over the place.

Apparently, Lewan's ex-girlfriend is corroborating the victim's story that Lewan punched a man on Dec. 1. According to her, "Taylor is lying."

http://pro32.ap.org/article/lewans-ex-girlfriend-says-he-punched-ohio-st-fan

Right on cue, people on mgoblog rush to Lewan's defense:

My only question is how far in the sand does your head have to be in order to type something like that?
Watched a BTN program on B1G players from 2014. The section devoted to praise of Lewan was interesting. SOB is grabbing someone by the face mask and twisting in all but a few plays. Why the conference didn't discipline him is beyond reasoning.
