Why does a former tOSU RB get a stern look? How much experience did Vrabel have? If they were serious about coaching and recruiting enough to satisfy Urban, it couldn't hurt having someone like Eddie recruiting RB's.

Would be an awesome hire. However, I am concerned about Dexter Williams...what if he thought Alford was not leaving and committed to ND solely for that purpose? Obviously I am joking based on past posts but seriously, Alford would be perfect. Good coach, awesome recruiter in vital areas, and fits the "minority hire." Obviously you never hire someone for the sake of a minority hire and go for the best man, but it appears the best man for the job is also a minority hire. Win-win imo. Really hope this comes to fruition.

Also, we should probably get Stan to the alumni forum and split this conversation into a thread speculating on the next RB coach here.
