I still love my Buckeyes! I am/was very proud of the way the team played. Sure, there are things I would like changed; however, the amount of heart is not one of them.

Great defensive play. Our Dline is night and day in comparison to last year.
Heartbreaker - for a moment I thought I had heard "SEC" chant after the game, then realized it was "USC". Either way tough to swallow.
Pryor was off the entire second half.
The running game was extremely predictable, but we ran some wide open formations that reminded me of the 05 season. We had plenty of downfield single coverage that Terrelle just either didn't recognize, or threw to early.
Couple questionable calls as well as non-reviews. That first USC touchdown; ball carrier's knee appeared to be down before the ball cross, that SHOULD have been reviewed.
That said, if this ends up much the the 2005 season, I doubt we'll hear many complaints.

First off, the Bucks played they're hearts out and you have to be proud of that. I think our defense is one of the best in the country. The D-line certainly lived up to they're preseason hype last night. Cam, Thad, Simon among other had good games. Just a great overall game by the D.
I think this game goes to show that, yes we do have the same kinda talent/athletes/speed like the other elite program's have (I think even some tOSU fans where beginning to question that). The playcalling coulda been better, and TP coulda played better. But all in all I'm OK with that. Tress is a great coach and I'm willing to live with the good and the bad. He's a great fit for tOSU right now IMO.
I'm just pround we gave SC all they could handle all game, and showed IMO we belong.....

"Aw shucks, we lost again" is getting old. Tressel and the rest of the coaching staff do not play to win, and as a result the coaches, the players and the fans have a lingering expectation of losing. No QB sneak from the 2 yard line? No FG attempt when you're up by 5 points? No blitzing the living crap out of a freshman QB when the game is on the line? You cannot fault TP or any of the players for not playing to the best of their ability - it's not about lack of athletic talent or lack of heart. It's about a coaching staff that doesn't seem to believe the Buckeyes are good enough to win. Tressel is a good man and a decent coach, but he's not getting the job done when it comes to winning big games. Time to put the nice guy schtick aside and play with a vengeance to win.

Sorry, I can't get on board with celebrating moral victories. Not getting blown out in a big game has become the criteria for success at OSU all of a sudden? We showed we belong by making a team with a true freshman QB work hard to beat us? At home?
Frankly the amount of this school of thought I see on here scares me. All I saw last night was another loss that could have been a win because one third of this team isn't on the same level as the other two thirds. Its been a constant theme and isn't going to change by the same people doing the same things over and over again.

A record crowd, what an unbelievable atmosphere. The D played absolutely lights out. They were far superior to last year, we were getting pressure with 4 DL, and the secondary and linebackers were on point. Super impressed.
Offensive line played well also, USC is no slouch when it comes to DL's, and Prior having decent time all game says a lot. Boom was a beast, hitting the holes hard and sometimes a trip away from a huge gain. I'd really like to see TP use his legs a little more. At times it seemed he's trying too hard to be a pass-first QB, when there were lanes to run for big yards and a TD in the 3rd Quarter. If he utilizes his legs a little more, it will open up his receivers down the field. Terrelle, you're a phenominal athlete, be an athlete and don't settle for less. Also, after some incompletions, TP would go to his reciever(s) and talk with them, as if there were some communication/read errors, that will be corrected with time and practice.
Hey, overall we are on the cusp of being elite, and I mean that. It took a total of 1 min and 16 seconds away from 2 Top 3 victories vs Texas and USC, we are there, just unfortunate the last 2 trips. Let's run the table, beat Penn State and get to the Rose Bowl and play USC once again, where I guarantee a victory, since I feel USC will lose one time down the road and I don't see Texas or Florida losing. This team is just going to get better and better and with our D, and an improving O, we are a BCS winning team, and being setup for a National Championship trip and Heisman contention for next year!
What a trip to the 'Shoe lastnight, thanks to all the 106,000 for being there, Will Farrell, Vince Vaughn, Cris Carter, Santonio Holmes and I'm sure there were many more. What an experience I will never forget!
