WOW. I dunno what to say, pretty big decision.

Petey's a pretty good judge of qb talent, seems to me. In his quote to play Mr. B., PC sounds like Barkley is his choice for at least the first part of the season.

Barkley is a whiz-bang. His only weakness time will cure: not playing D1 speed in actual game. Who knows, with SC's running the ball 70% of our game, Barkley could do some major damage with his strong arm. There are such strong players around him, if our D can't cause hurry-ups, Barkley could have fun. Otoh, crowd noise and a demanding Buckeye defense will make it a once-in-a-lifetime football experience for Barkley.

I can't wait to see Barkley's career unfold. I want him to have one bad game (Guess which one), but besides that I think this kid will be super special. His arm is dynamite. He is what Notre Dame fans thought Jimmy Clausen would be. I saw him play in high school, and I think he will easily be a Top 5 pick and future Heisman winner.

He is not a JaMarcuss Russell type who can throw the ball deep, but he can make every throw from every angle. If he was two inches taller he would be the prototypical QB. Honestly I think physically he reminds me a lot of Elway. I'm not saying they are equal or anywhere near it, but his size/arm/mobility all are very similar. Both are 6'3, both are tough as shit, both are gunslingers, and both are mobile enough.

This kid is the best pro QB prospect since Carson Palmer IMO.

Clear Indication that USC will run the ball all day this year. And in reality Corp was always on the clock and was never going to hold Barkley off.
Oddly enough, that's what Texas fans said about Colt McCoy and Jevan Snead in '06. McCoy didn't get injured until after our game though.

Irrelevant to this situation, I know, but you never know who will come out on top, until someone comes out on top.
