UMBoyeee: "Easy there sloppypimp45 or I might need to borrow a shed from Mili..."

Don't sweat it, my man. You may be a scUM fan, but if Mili says you're good people, that means you're ok in my book.

Until November, that is ...

These are fun to read. Further illustrates the kinship felt amongst we Buckeye fans. Here's my two cents:

I was born at OSU Hospital in the late 70's (putting me in my mid-to-rapidly-approaching late 20's). Two grandparents attended OSU; my grandfather graduated from OSU Dental in the 40's then went to Korea to fix teeth and dole out candybars. Both parents went to OSU from '68-'72. They got to see the second-to-latest National Championship in' 68 and were gassed by overenthusiastic National Guardsmen on the Oval (they were pseudo-Hippies I guess).

I grew up in Worthington/Dublin and graduated from Dublin Coffman High School. My Buckeye fandom began the second I was conceived and will follow me well beyond the grave. I've seen countless games at the 'Shoe and other stadiums. I have many favorite moments -- a few that stand out are Terry Glenn's slant and scamper against Notre Dame, Teddy's PR-TD vs. Michigan and the entire Fiesta Bowl.

I spent some time out West, but have returned (as a prodigal son) to emulate DrSJ and get my medical degree at tOSU. I've frequented Buckeye fan sites for a long time (O-Zone was my first, then Bucknuts, now here) and love reading posts from my comrades.

I think 2005-06 will be a very good year for tOSU.

True buckeyes know

I was born a buckeye. I was born in Columbus. Ever since i was 2 i have been going to ohio state games. I two years old at my first game and it was alumni night, so the engineer alumni (my father) got to perform the script ohio during the game. I got to do it on my dads shoulders and made the front page of the Colubus dispatch. I would be the fourth generation in my family to graduate from ohio state. Unfortunately my parents decided to move to michigan my freshman year. I still would drive down to at least three games a year. My parents couldnt afford to pay for my out of state tuition so i had to attend Michigan State University for my freshman year, Hey i still get to hate michigan. I sold my entire msu season ticket pass so that i could drive down to 4 osu games. My dorm room is filled with osu gear and my dorm mates want to kill me! I sat in the MSU student section wearing my krenzel jersey as teddy ginn strolled into the endzone. I got so excited that the entire section was chanting "asshole asshole!!!" I am concedering moving to columbus and financing my own education just so that i can be in the university. Ohio state has a tradition like no other! All other fans have no idea what its like being in the horseshoe while the team scores a td of the band performs the script ohio. I will be a buckeye for life and nothing else. GO BUCKS! Championship 05, 06

I was born and raised in Columbus. Lived there till I was 22 and then moved to Georgia. I spent 3 years in Georgia and got tired of hearing about the ACC and SEC so I moved to England. I live near Cambridge and watch every game. During the 2002 season I spent a load of money on the Gameday package and taped every game from that year... Thankfully so. I now watch games over the Internet if they are not on tv here. My wife hates it because I have so much Buckeye stuff that we had to dedicate a whole room to it. I have the last 3 years highlight DVDs and 3 Jerseys. Not to mention trinkets, coats, hats, and all sorts of other stuff. My family only sends me Buckeye stuff for Christmas. I have a countdown on my Calendar till the first Football game. Basically I love Buckeye football. But I also love College Football in general. I'd watch it all year round if I were the ruler of the world. Go Bucks! F*ck Michigan!

I was born a poor black child.

Actually, I was born in N.J. in the wee hours on 1/2/75. The folks were watching tOSU miss a field goal to lose the Rose Bowl when my mom went into labor. Right after I was born (well not RIGHT after) we moved to Pickerington, OH. Saturdays were always a time to get the family together and watch the Bucks. OSU garage flags, 1460, Coops' ads, and the significance of each fall Saturday kind of got to me. I almost went to OSU but I decided to chase the high school sweetheart at BGSU. I went to Toledo. I figured that was enough disatnce to drive, but still far enough away to get hopped up each night. Don't laugh, it seemed feasible at the time. Anywho, I am living in WAY upstate NY with my wife, three girls, and the bitch. Saturdays in the fall are an event in our house. I think they are events because it is the one thing that my family can do together that vaguely resembles what I did as a kid.

I've been a very happy lurker at the o-zone, bucknuts, and this site for a few years. I remember some of the threads that the more prolific posters on this site had with the moderators on Bucknuts. Good Schtuff.

This is an excellent site.

On a side note, I started to post on bucknuts but I quit. I banned myself. I started a thread with the title "Let Zwick start over Krenzel". Yes, I was a moron. Maybe still are.

I guess since I started a bit of a stir. I'll do my sound off. So people will know who I am.

I was born in Longmead-Puritas section of Cleveland (W. 130th and Bellaire), but my family moved out to the burbs and I graduated from Strongsville HS in 1998. I attended Youngstown State for two years before transferring to Akron. I graduated with a degree in Mass Media Communication with a fine GPA of 2.7 :) and now work in Georgia as a preps sports writer. (I'll brag a little and say I won 1st place for Sports Writing by the Georgia Press Association in my first year in 2004 and second place by the Georgia Sportswriter's Association). I've been a Buckeye fan since I was 8-9 years old. My dream was to attend OSU. I was accepted there out of HS, but decided to stay closer to home for personal reasons. It's ok that I never was an "OSU Buckeye", because I'll always be a Buckeye and it worked out in the end.

My favorite Buckeye off all time is Antoine Winfield, being 5-10 and a 175 pounds, I've always been a fan of the little guys that can bring the wood.

My favorite Buckeye moment would be the OSU Fiesta Bowl victory against Miami.

The thing I hate most about Georgia. Easy, it's the SEC homers. And when I lived in Thomasville (40 miles north of Tallahasse), the ACC and FSU homers.

The thing I like most about Georgia. Easy, it's the weather and the quality of football I get to watch every fall.

Do I plan on staying in Georgia? Easy, No. I'll be back in Ohio sooner or later. Hopefully covering the Buckeyes or my second favorite team, the Browns.

This is pretty interesting. My girlfriend (who followed me to Georgia and will be my fiance once I scrap up a few dollars to get a ring) grew up a Michigan fan. She's from Elyria, but thought the Puke and Blue were cool colors. It only took one game, and a couple of long Mo Clarett touchdowns against Texas Tech to change all of that. Now, she is a Buckeye fan and will even talk trash to the SEC/ACC fans down here. She even put a trash talking Miami fan in his place. By the time she was done, he didn't know what to say. I didn't say a word, just listened with a big smile on my face.

I was born the son of a poor sharecropper.....just kidding. Actually I was born in Colorado Springs CO (Air Force brat). We moved to Northeast Ohio when I was five. I remember watching the Buckeyes On Saturdays..and have been a fan since seeing Keith Byers running down the field without his shoe. I had to eat crow in High School with my father when the Air Force Academy beat the Bucks. Now that was embarrassing. I also enlisted in the USAF out of High school...did four years served in Desert Storm and seprated to finish my degree at OSU ( B.S. Business/Marketing). I was recuited by a company who moved me to New Jersey and then on to Pennsylvania (Philadelphia). I went on to receive my MBA at (don't hurl anything at me) Penn State..where I worked as a mole tormenting Nittany Lion fans. During this time on a trip back to Columbus I met my wife. She was a student at OSU and moved to Pennsylvania following her graduation. We continued our torment of Nittany Lion fans..until I began to feel sorry for them. We relocated to Southern California ( again for my work) three years ago. We live in Mexico.....uh I mean the Temecula area where I only wish I could torment USC fans. I must admit it is fun to watch the Buckeye games at Moondoggies with the Alumni Club. We did make the trip to the Fiesta..and by the way if we make Rose...party at my house!

My offensive favorite player was and is Michael Jenkins......Mr. Clutch

My Favorite Defensive player was Chris Speilman..its amazing how far heart can take you!

The team I hate the most has to be Miami without a doubt. USC is getting annoying living here..but I ran the L.A. Marathon in March and its path runs through the USC campus. The students did make me laugh as they were out there trying to handout Krispy Creme and Beer

Go Bucks!

Born and raised in Toledo, been a buckeye all my life started watching games when Eddie ran all over Notre Dame. I will always remember that game because Eddie played incredible and it was when I truly became a Buckeye. My Dad went to Ohio State and grew up in Columbus so thats where I have gotten it from. I haven't missed a game since the Notre Dame game. The toughest game I've I ever have had to deal with was in 98 the when the Spartans came to Columbus. At that time we were undefeated and Joe Germaine was playing out of his mind. Along with a bunch of other players. But I will always remebering Ohio State getting back down in the 4th quarter then Damon Moore jumped on the out route picked it and took it to the house. The Michigan State got back in the lead and Joe Germaine marched them right back down the field then threw that deep out route to the strong side of the field to Dee Miller, then Rolando Hill got away with pass interfence and picked it off and ended our chances at winning the National Title. I still have not recovered from that loss even though we have won a title since then.

I plan on going to The Ohio State University for college and going to every Ohio State game for the rest of my life. National Title in '05. Go Bucks! Ted Ginn Jr. for Heisman.

My favorite offensive player is Michael Jenkins.

My favorite defensive player is Mike Doss.

My favorite player before my I was alive was Jack Tatum.

I hate all of Michigan I feel they should just join Canada.

Note: Watch the Highlight Reel for the '04 Michigan game that Da Bucks put together. Just watch how Troy Smith put all the Michigan Players into their place, which is looking like idiots. Smith dominated the game offensively by making the right reads, makin few mistakes and putting the ball right on target every pass.

Im new to this so take it a little easy on me

Both of my parents were born in ohio and have always been die hard buckeye fans, i was born in north carolina and moved to lorain in 95 but ive always bled scarlet and grey just like them, i love tarheel bball and so does my dad but ohio state football is life in our household and i wouldnt have it any other way, ive never been to a game before but i would do anything to get to one. To me there is nothing better than sitting back and watching the bucks defense swarm to the ball. Now ive always been a buckeye fan but watching that title game in 02 really took it to another level, when we won that game i knew that through thick and thin i would always be behind my bucks and i plan of going to the ohio state university and never missing a game from then on, no matter what the costs are. There isnt a feeling in the world like watching the bucks punch michigan in the mouth and physically destroy them and thats what its all about.

fav players, eddie george, andy katz,

i was born in illinois and moved to ohio when i was 7 and lived in Dublin for about 3 years before returning back to illinois. seeing as i was so young, i never fully got into the football scene but hear from my parents how the town would become desserted on game days and how crazy eveything was including students being hammered before 11 AM games. hearing this and remembering my first and only time to go to the Shoe, where my dad showed me the future number one Orlando Pace, has made me miss Ohio for a long time. as soon as i am old enough to live on my own, i plan to move back to Ohio to bleed the scarlet and grey like the rest of you. i cant stand Illini fans as well as the love that every other big 10 team gets other than Ohio State.

my favorite buckeye of all time has to be Orlando Pace. he is the only player i recall from the team the year i saw them play as well as getting a chance to meet him in person are great memories. you may think he was huge than, but imagaine what a 6'6" college kid looks like to a 9 year old. great memories and cant wait for some more!

I was born in Sandusky Ohio. I now am going into my senior year at Ohio State and will be getting a degree sports management. I plan on getting a job in sports marketing or some type of online marketing. I nay attend grad school, but am still looking into options. I'll be doing my internship this year and I look forward to meeting a lot of contacts through it.

I love playing golf, being on the lake and playing poker. Ohio State is and always will be my school. I really hope I don't have to move out of Columbus, as I love the atmosphere. That's about it for now...

1200 posts into this bitch. I figured that it was about time I did this.

I grew up outside of Lima, Ohio, and graduated from Allen East High School in 1994. Went to the OSU Lima branch for a year before moving to Columbus. Spent two more years at tOSU before work and play forced me to make a decision that I wish I hadn't made (no kids involved). Worked in retail management for a couple of years, and went back to school to get a degree. This time I went to ITT to get my associates in Electronics. Graduated with highest honors, and now I work at an Aerospace company in the Dayton area (if this sounds like a commercial endorsement for ITT, it's not).

Based on the time that I went to tOSU I would have to say that Eddie George was one of my favorites, but I was secretly rooting for the small town kid Bobby Hoying to win the Heisman that year. Both Buckeyes were great, and having followed Bobby's career from the time he was in highschool I believe that he was my favorite Buckeye. My favorite Buckeye moments are a tie between Earl Bruce's last Michigan game, and Jim Tressel's first. There have been a lot of good moments before, between, and after those games, but those seem to be the two that originally made me a fan and made me reborn as a fan(some would say that Tressel baptised me that day :tongue2: ).

I came to BP via BN, like most did, but haven't posted much over there since I came over here. I'm basically just too lazy to filter the good from the bad over there, so I choose to get my info, and my yucks from the good people here.
