New Buck on the Block

I?m a freelance sports/travel writer and lifelong Buckeye fan. Buckeye Planet has been kind enough to include my blog, ?That State Up North?, on the front page. It?s dedicated to current issues about Ohio State football, with particular emphasis on its interaction with Michigan . . . even if I have to go slightly out of my way to make the connection. Nonetheless the postings have been hailed as pleasantly insightful, mildly funny, and, when necessary, surprisingly soothing by at least five people who aren?t my wife. The site also features a video of a rivalry song I recently wrote for this year?s game.

I?d love feedback from other Buckeye fans if you get a chance to check it out.

1986 Grad here! :osu:

Been to every scUM vs. OSU home game since mid 70s and 6 at scUM.

Boy has High Street changed since I was there.....no more Mine Shaft, Pa Pa Joes, Travel Agency, etc!

My claim to fame while at OSU? Being the manager of all student security so I would flash my badge and watch the games on the track...back when South Stands was SOUTH STANDS!

Best OSU game moment? When the Bucks beat Iowa and Chucky Long in the rain and tearing down the goal posts....

Worse OSU game moment? Earl Bruce calling for a pass that was intercepted and watching John Elway beat us...then having to see him beat my beloved Browns years later.....UGH!

Living in Indiana now....

I have been looking around this site for quite some time, but just now decided to actually join. I am a life long TOSU fan, been that way since I left the womb. I am originally from Cincinnati (we run H.S. football) but the Navy has moved me to Virginia Beach.

Hey folks!, New guy, been reading silently in the background for a few weeks and thought I would say hello. This is a wonderful forum for any Buckeye fan. Lots of great info and conversation! I was raised a Buckeye and will be till I die! Thanks for any welcome responses. Soooooo........

Hello All

So I was invited in by the biggest Buckeye fan I know (although some of you give him a run for his money). I went to BC, but I have no issues with tOSU (I've even decided to start using the "t", but only on here).

Just wanted to introduce myself. I promise not to bash the Buckeyes, although I really was hoping for a BC/tOSU NCG.
