SimPLLLLLLLe Jim "6-13" Harbaugh (B1G Suspenders McKhakiPants, Cheater Cheater Booger Eater)

If he's looking to drum up attention to scUM, he's doing just that. But it's not relating to the recruiting, and he doesn't have enough talent to win the division let alone the conference. And I wonder if his camps are even attracting the talent that would go to top tier SEC schools. That's cool to go to Prattville and Tampa and etc, but if he's getting the 2 star LB and not the 4 or 5 star that Alabama, Auburn, etc are After, what is it really doing? If Nate Craig Meyers doesn't pay attention to the camp but his 3star DT teammate gets interested, than does that make much sense?

Because Harbaugh. That's why! Pay attention for Christ's sake.

And devoid of any perimeter threats at WR as well, or any proven RB or OL talent too...

Well, they still have some OL talent from Hoke... but it's probably too late for them.

But of course Harbaugh has most of the media and the blind and idiotic ScUM fan base thinking he's a genius. I've heard from countless "analysts" and fans that Harbaugh is just a winner and had so much success at Stanford and San Fran that he'll automatically make scUM relevant and a contender by year 2... Yeah, I can't wait until the wheels fall off. I think he'll be at scUM for 4-5yrs max and then bolt back to the NFL. Hell have some 8+ win seasons because he can beat some bottom feeders in the Big 10, but I don't see scUM getting to a playoff, Harbaugh won't get lucky(pun intended) with another Andrew Luck type

If he can get to 10 wins this season, I'll be impressed. But I just don't see it.
That said, their schedule is not very daunting. NW and Minny from the West... their D should be able to limit Minnesota's one-dimensional offense. Utah, Oregon State, and BYU isn't a bad OOC schedule... but it's hard to hang your hat on any of those either. BYU could be the best team, and they're an over-achieving Mid Major.
He should get a minimum of 8 wins out of that...

You also have to wonder how mediocre seasons will affect his NFL pedigree?
In 3 years if all he does is have 8win seasons, will teams still be interested? Seems like you enter the Gruden ranks at that point... fans and media mentioning you at every passing, but nobody actually biting.

Coaching is cyclical whether in the NFL or college. If he can blame some 8win seasons on not having enough talent and that hes more of a NFL coach, he can find another job. Just like Petrino, Spurrier and Saban could make themselves HCs back into college after disappointing NFL stints, Harbaugh could get the right team to bite. But for now it'll be fun watching the shit show he'll perform while in Ann Arbor

Ooh! Ooh! Ignoring the state of Ohio and alienating Detroit area talent to nab those unranked Bama players that prove Michigan can compete against no one to land players from the South?

Kyle McLorg ‏@Kyle_McLorgBASG 4h4 hours ago
Source: midway thru 2014, York walked into meeting Harbaugh was holding w/ players, & Harbaugh told Jed that the meeting was for "men only"

If this is true (and I have no reason to believe that it isn't), what the hell was this statement supposed to accomplish? I can't see too many of the players actually being impressed by this sort of childish crap. Truly seems like its nothing more than Harbrau going out of his way to be a dick to his superior.

Yep, scUM finally got their man......

The response on the SCUM boards has moved from self denial to full scale delusion. Both on Scout and mgoblob, they start out slapping each other on the back telling themselves that finally they are getting that SEC speed. But when someone points out that 4.8 is not fast in the 40 and 41.41 is not fast in the 300 intermediate hurdles, then the first response is to attack the poster that details these facts as a negative jerk and then move en masse to the next group think idea. Since he's not fast he must be physical.

Yeah, but The Harbaugh can coach speed. Didn't you know that? He took 4.8 kids at Stanford and turned them into 4.3.

Jim Harbaugh winning offseason in big way; games are next

This isn’t about satellite camps. This is about a man, a coach, who has so overwhelmed all things college football this offseason with incredibly astute timing, he has rebranded an historic, stale program before ever coaching a single fall Saturday snap.

Michigan is relevant again; Michigan is hot and all kinds of hip because Jim Harbaugh is infectious.

You know the delusion is running rampant when you feel the need to repost the list of players Harbaugh has convinced to play football at Michigan every five minutes.

Was this much praise heaped upon Zook? because he recruited a helluva lot better than Harbaugh has thus far, was slightly insane (but nowhere close to Harbaugh levels), and played in a Rose Bowl which seems like a stretch for Harbaugh to achieve anytime soon.

If Harbaugh can match Zook's accomplishments he'll be doing well for himself; he's failing thus far other than in the field of being a crazy asshole.
