SimPLLLLLLLe Jim "6-13" Harbaugh (B1G Suspenders McKhakiPants, Cheater Cheater Booger Eater)

"Now that the papal smoke finally has dissipated from the Jim Harbaugh coronation, there's a much clearer appreciation of the enormity of the task facing Michigan's new coach."

The Papal smoke, LOLZ

I wasn't "papal smoke" in Ann Arbor, it was just the team smoking pot again:

Former Michigan player: "Nearly half the team was stoned during Appalachian State loss"

Meh, scUM has a hell of an uphill battle to get on OSU and even MsU's level. I no longer even care about the Harbaugh hire, he'll win the games he's supposed to, but they're not elite. Harbaugh can rub all the blood and dog shit he wants on his face, I don't see Urban backing down from Jimbo Slice. After this Alabams win, I have both middle fingers up higher to the rest of the Big 10 schools, especially to tSUN.

Exactly

This supposed golden era of theirs they are romanticizing is bullshit.

1997 was a complete fluke. they lost 3-4 games on average all through the 80's and 90's.

If you want to get on top of the CFB world you have to take it away from someone else.

John Cooper isn't here to help them anymore. MSU isn't in the doldrums anymore.

Jim-Bo will get them the little brown jug back. Jury is out on beating Urban Meyer.

Before that game did you see Urban backing down? I sure didn't.

At the end of the day, fuck him. If he brings Michigan back and gives us a bitterly fought 6 year war, great. The Game will be back to its rightful place at the center of the college football universe while giving us a real asshole with a screw loose on the other side of the field to hate. He's sure as shit not going to dominate Urban and, at best, might hold serve.

If he fails, the meltdowns of Michigan Men as well as his own will be utterly epic and provide interweb memes for the rest of the decade.

So in summation, fuck him because we have everything to gain one way or the other and almost nothing to lose. Be he our gimp or our rival, he's just there to serve our needs and one hopes that when he inevitably runs back to the NFL he has the common decency to make us a fucking sandwich on his way out. Fuck him.

According to Michigan boards:

Not competing for a Big Ten championship in 2016.

Not winning a Big Ten Championship and making playoffs by 2017

Not having a winning record against Ohio State in first five years.

Everything I'm reading is giving him one year before being at, or even above, Ohio State's level.

Seems reasonable

I've read about five different prediction threads for UM and Harbaugh against his rivals. Some predict domination, others are more reserved. Many provide a ceiling and floor for his record. The floor is always .500 vs urban.
