Offutt scored 28 points last night on 7-10 shooting while knocking down all 14 shots from the Free throw line and added 8 boards.

I went to the game. The three things that have really stood out both times I've seen him play are his athleticism, his competitiveness and his hard-work. He plays real hard on both sides of the court. He works his way around a lot of screens, gets the ball in the lane and finishes. I believe he only took one 3-pointer, the rest of the time he looked to go strong to the hoop, which he is very good at. His vision is pretty impressive also (he likes to throw no-looks ). I said it the first time I saw him play and I'll say it again after seeing him the second time: Walter is an all-around ballplayer. He can shoot (as I saw in the first game), he can drive, he can pass, he can defend, he can rebound. He'll be a very solid player in Scarlet and Gray.

Go Bucks!

Could he play the point you think?
I'd say he's better suited out on the wing. He's got some quickness and his size would be nice at the point, but I just don't see him as a PG. He doesn't bring it up in the offense, but on the other hand when it starts to break down he would go out and get the ball, then look to attack the basket, so he does have skills with the ball out top. Still, last night he did have a few turnovers, looked like it could have been nerves, he bobbled the ball on a catch once and then later when he was going to the hoop. He settled in fine after the first 2 turnovers. His ability to work off of screens, drive baseline, and shoot really make me see him as a 2 guard. He does seem very versatile though, and good things tended to happen when he got the ball.
