SG Jon Diebler (2nd-Most Big Ten career 3-Pointers, Butler Recruiting Director)

Objectively though I feel like you (I don't mean just you) should be able to see where he's coming from. We all want John to do well (at the UNC game, I was as happy for him as you can be for a single player) but you have to see where he's coming from with his arguments. Personally, I think his shot will come around, but I can not say that as a fact. The way I read what he's saying, is just that he wants people to acknowledge that we don't really know his shot will come around and that we (as a fan base, and specifically posters on this board) seem to cut John slack while getting on other players' cases. I don't think that his frustration is with John as much as with what he inteprets to be the view of some posters on this board--which he is completely entitled to voicing if he wishes (since he is doing so without excessive bad language, or anything like personal attacks etc.).

Being a good fan is not about being a blind fan and believing any dissent is cause for alarm. He is just interpreting what he sees.

Again, I think we all want the best for John and we all hope his shot comes around. I just don't think people need to get on PennBuckFan's case so much for speaking his mind.

You're right in a way, but PennBuckFan has some sort of personal vendetta against the Diebler family.

Read all of his posts. You'll also see a poster by another name (who is the same person - I want to say the name is AxlRose4eva) bashing Matta LAST YEAR about the playing time of one Daquan Cook. HE then attempts to tie it into this year and Diebler.

Again what you say isn't a problem, but don't feed the trolls

The announcer kept saying that Diebler looks like a different person now that he has hit a couple. I'm guessing that he hasn't seen any OSU games this year. Diebler has always played hard and kept his chin up even when shooting poorly. The only difference I have noticed in his demeanor was against North Carolina when he was showing a lot of emotion on the court.

to me, he has never looked like he lacked confidence.

Last night, he reminded me of the guy that I saw last year playing for Upper Sandusky and making all of those 3s. He just seemed much more relaxed. Also, maybe coming off of the bench is best for him right now.
