I guess my quick take on Lighty's offense this season is I think he will score very consistently between, say, 7 and 15 points. If all goes well you can live with the seven and the good defense and rebounds. If we are looking around for the 15 every night then I would take that as a bad sign. Just MO.

Is David does not score in double figures this year I think we will be in trouble. imo
If he does an average more than 10 points per game, I will be shocked. He can get that many on taking the ball to the rack and foul shooting. 10 points = double figures:)crazybuckfan40;964582; said:I agree wit the the take, as I would expect him to be more in the range 7-12...
I disagree that if he is not in double figures that we will be in trouble...I am sure there will be nights when he is looked at more of a defensive stopper and we have guys like Diebler, KK, and Butler do the majority of the scoring...
Also I don't envision teams scoring that much against us...We will be int he top 2 or 3 in the big ten in defense...

Ten under-the-radar players ready to break out

David Lighty, 6-5, G, Ohio State
'06-'07 stats: 16.3 minutes, 3.7 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 1.0 apg
'07-'08 stats: 36.0 minutes, 17.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 4.0 apg
Skinny: This is a classic case of the enhanced opportunities that are often available during your second season. With Daequan Cook and Ron Lewis gone, Lighty is now the elder statesman on the wing in Columbus. Time will tell whether he will be able to handle a full season being at the top of the opponents' scouting reports, but the instant impact of 7-1 freshman Kosta Koufos should take some of that pressure off.
