Several have been right to post that this is not a time to determine if Taylor was a thug/is a thug...

But what does stick in my mind is that during the reign of coaches at the U, beginning with Schenelleberger and up through Coker, everytime the cameras were trained on the Miami sidelines you saw a bunch of guys with fifty pounds of bling-bling around their neck. Who were they? What was their connection to the university or the football program? During that same time the players behavior was unchecked... taunting, flaming and pushing the limits on celebrations were par for the course, any idea of sportsmanship and respect for the opponent was shoved aside.

Is there a correlation between how you learn to play the game, who you are encouraged to associate with and how long it takes you to mature and grow out of such associations? I don't know, but my guess is 'yes.'

This is truly a great post and I hate to see this go unnoticed. What Cinci said sums up many players in the NFL sadly. This is truly worthy of a GPA.

Regardless of his past or present affiliations, or whether he qualifies as having been a "thug," Sean Taylor's death is tragic for his family, friends and teammates. Other discussion than this is unseemly and unproductive, IMO.

Death too young.

OMGZZZ ROLLFFFF:roll2:

So Sean does the what everybody says to do. Distance yourself from certain groups of people and cause even more jealousy. And this happens

They say it was a burglary. It absolutely was not a burglary," he said. "Down South, where we're from, there were many people talking to Sean, a lot of jealousy, a lot of angry people.
"Sean, he had a large group of friends, and he no longer hung out with those friends, so you never know where this came from."

I guess former Cane Antrel Rolle has an idea of what really could have been going on...

Cards' Rolle believes Taylor's death was no burglary

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) ? Still in disbelief of his childhood friend's shooting death, Arizona Cardinals cornerback Antrel Rolle vowed Wednesday to make sure Sean Taylor is remembered.
He added he did not believe the killing was part of a burglary gone sour, and that Taylor had many enemies on the streets of Miami.
"He really didn't say too much," Rolle said, "but I know he was pretty much scared every time he was down in Miami."

Over sensitive says what? It's a place to look up sayings, but add meaning to it if you feel like it.

Very sad to see his past catch up with him, but it still was his.
He added he did not believe the killing was part of a burglary gone sour, and that Taylor had many enemies on the streets of Miami.
Sounds like his history involved a little more than two isolated incidents, oh10.
