and had nothing to do with his past....

So let me get this straight, he "wasn't supposed to be home" yet the "burglar(s)" kicked open the bedroom door and fired two shots at him? That makes no sense at all.

These are prolly the same people that was their the week before..Sean had a safe in his bedroom..The first time they werent able to break into it..So this time they came back thinking Sean was outta town with his team and came with the right tools to get into it. So they already know where it was at, They went straight for it and where shocked when they kicked down the door that Sean was on the other side with a knife. Then fired from reaction and got out of there.

shame

The family member referenced in some reports is his sister. His sister lived at his house - pretty much full time. Her boyfriend (and soon to be baby-daddy - OUCH) - is from Fort Myers - and he is bad news. He was talking to friends in Fort Myers (the 4 who were arrested) - and they went over to rob the place. They didn't expect him there - and they shot him.

Sean Taylor did not know them. Sean shared the same mother (who is bi-polar / serious mental problems) - but not father. The police chief is not her father.

So the hand wringing about Sean's past coming back to haunt him wasn't true. It was (even more tragically) FAMILY!

You may not believe it - and I am new to this board (being a Bengals fan) - but it is true. In that he was a Skin - I figured you guys should be one of the first to know.

In life, and in death, Taylor was a natural mystery

MIAMI -- The school is not what it seems. It sits on 30 acres of manicured land near condos and bird-watchers. The folks at Miami Douglas MacArthur South, an alternative high school full of inner-city kids and at-risk teenagers, have a saying: Even good kids can make bad decisions.

Nobody really knows why Sean Taylor showed up one day in February. He was like that, often leaving people guessing. He'd done speaking gigs at schools around the Miami area as penance for one of his own questionable decisions, but this trip was voluntary.

FOX Sports on MSN - - 4 charged with unpremeditated murder

MIAMI (AP) - Four suspects were charged Saturday in the shooting death of Washington Redskins star Sean Taylor, with two of their lawyers confirming some have confessed.
Charles Wardlow, Eric Rivera and Venjah Hunte were denied bond during a brief court appearance via videoconference in Fort Myers. The fourth suspect, Jason Mitchell, was charged Saturday afternoon and had not made a court appearance. All four are charged with unpremeditated murder in Taylor's death, a killing police said was unplanned and arose out of a burglary at the player's home. They're also charged with armed burglary and home invasion with a firearm or another deadly weapon.
The four were arrested Friday in southwest Florida, about 100 miles from Miami.

Miami-Dade County police Director Robert Parker said the suspects didn't expect Taylor to be home when they broke in early Monday, but the Redskins safety was recuperating from a knee injury and had returned from Washington. When Taylor surprised them, he was shot.

"They were certainly not looking to go there and kill anyone," Parker said. "They were expecting a residence that was not occupied. So murder or shooting someone was not their initial motive."

It's sad to me when people make a situation like this trivial. It's an unbeleievably sad situation where a young guy lost his life, most likely over something very small or not his fault at all.

I know it's easy to try and connect the dots of a previous break-in (where a knife was left on his pillow), and his murder but until further facts are discovered people should temper their classless comments.

Is it that far-fetched to think theres someone out there who knows Seans' address and decided to break in on an away game. Truthfully, my first reaction was he must have crossed the wrong people, but when you think about it, his house was broken into during an away game the first time and it was broken into during an away game the second time. Only difference is he didn't travel due to injury last week.

Maybe he did mess with the wrong people, but maybe it was wrong place-wrong time too. Please wait until some facts come in before youlabel his death as thuggery.

Not to say I told you so, but it wasn't hard to connect the dots on this one when using common sense. People always love the big story, but when considering both break-ins occurred during game nights it shouldn't have been this difficult for people to realize it probably was a burglary gone wrong. Just a sad story all around, and hopefully these idiots all get what they have coming to them.
