Rose Bowl possibilities

Matchups? Oregon and Arizona sit atop the Pac-10 standings after today. They'll play each other in a couple weeks. Arizona still has to play USC. I don't know all the scenarios, but things could get interesting if Arizona beats Oregon then loses to the Trojans.

With the way the Pac-10's been going this year it's probably still a little too early to say who's gonna represent the Pac-10 in the Rose Bowl. After tonight there will be two teams with one conference lost (the aforementioned leaders) and three teams with two conference losses (USC, Stanford & the winner of Cal - Oregon St.) The cool thing about the Pac-10 is they all actually play each other.

Somebody check to make sure I am correct on this but next week's game is for the Roses. If we win we are in regardless of what we do at Scum. Although if we loss to Scum, (which we won't) then theoretically PSU, Iowa and us will be tied for the title, however since we beat both of them head to head we get the automatic bid......

Hopefully I am right on this one....

Go Bucks!!!

Seeing OSU players celebrating with Roses in the 'Shoe would be a nice sight. And strangely, one we haven't seen in awhile. Hopefully we can lock this up against Iowa, then get to wait for this Pac-10 stuff to work itself out until we get an opponent.

This is correct. And it is also correct for Iowa. They would win the same tiebreakers against PSU, Wisky, and Ohio State if they beat Ohio State and lose their last game to Minnesota.

Both teams are in the same boat.

For as cloudy and uncertain who the Pac-10 Champ in the Rose Bowl will be, the Big Ten Champ in the Rose Bowl is clear...

Ohio State or Iowa...whoever wins Saturday.
