Rich Rodriguez (official thread of last laughs)

This reminds me of when I worked at a Taco Bell in high school and was essentially expected to forge documents. I was supposed to check and mark down whether all the food temperatures, safety procedures, etc. were being followed to the letter. The first time I did it, I filled out the form honestly, and, like just about any fast food place, not everything was perfect. I noted it accordingly. The next day my boss saw it and gave me a write-up that called me a "disgruntled employee." Nothing could have been further from the truth; it was my first job, and I was happy to have it and loved receiving a paycheck for the first time in my life. I was just trying to do my job the right way.

That does not mean Taylor is not a disgruntled liar, but assuming that he is would just be a matter of convenience, not to mention unfair.

That's a ridiculous comparison. I'm sure the Taco Bell that you worked at was a much more respectable organization than Michigan's football program.

The problem isn't necessarily with the rules' violations. I would agree it probably happens everywhere. The issue is that Rich Rod does not have the respect of his players. They are not buying into his system and the dissent has got to be uncomfortable up there. I'm not sure how you can build a winning program when you fail to get your players on board.

For everyone's sake, this guy (RichRod) needs to be canned. It hurts Michigan (obviously). It hurts Ohio State when their biggest rival sucks. It hurts the Big Ten when one of their top two programs is in the toilet.

Players are saying they were indeed mandatory, you [censored]ing idiot.
Maybe he's talking about that other mandatory - the one where you don't have to...

Jeeze - this is worse than FSU going down the suck hole. While it's nice to beat them, and to see them suck, they are an ACC team, so the suckage did not affect us so much. But if the leg humpers were really down, like lose to Appy State down, it would be bad for us too.

Who can they hire after they throw that idiot out? The Hat will cost too much.

Toney Clemons' same surfaces:

Former Michigan wide receiver Toney Clemons ESPN.com's Joe Schad Sunday night that all off the allegations reported are accurate.

"The allegations are true," Clemons said. "Nothing is fabricated or exaggerated in that story. I was there on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. or 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. depending on if guys needed treatment. You were there daylight to nighttime."

"On Sunday, it was lifting, film, dinner and practice," Clemons told Schad. "I usually got out around 10:20. I truly don't want to be associated with the program back there. But I am going to help benefit my teammates back there by speaking and giving testimony."
Michigan launches investigation into whether football program violated NCAA rules on practice time - ESPN

Disgruntled, disgruntled, blah, blah, blah. I seem to remember him leaving on good terms, huh...

Apparently, the current player (s) will also corroborate these claims with any investigations. Whoa Nelly...

I don't see what the big deal is.

It's just to make up for missing out on Bowl practices that other teams are "fortunate" enough to have.

It's only a matter of closing the gap between the haves and the have-nots.

Just because OSU kids were lucky enough to win the genetic lottery and and be recruited into a program that excels, scUM shouldn't get punished by not getting to practice from Thanksgiving to New Year's too.

In fact, the NCAA should take some of OSU's scholarships and practice time away and give it to the less fortunate scUM program. Call it "Football Justice" if you like.
