Rich Rodriguez (official thread of last laughs)

Nothing was ever proven...

USAToday

COLUMBIA, S.C. ? Oakland All-Pro Charles Woodson testified on Thursday that fees he paid his former agents, Summit Management, were not intended to pay back money, gifts or trips he allegedly received while playing at Michigan.
Woodson, the Raiders' star cornerback, took the stand for about an hour in the federal fraud trial of Andre Lewis, former president of the Richland Teachers Council Federal Credit Union. Lewis is accused of mishandling money and violating credit union rules to help the Columbia sports management firm.
In May, The State of Columbia, S.C., cited receipts found in Summit's abandoned offices that showed Woodson took a trip to South Carolina at the company's expense in May 1997. The paper also said Woodson was fitted for a tuxedo at a Columbia clothier two weeks before accepting the Heisman Trophy.
Michigan spokesman Bruce Madej said the school wasn't able to substantiate any charges. "We haven't heard anything from the NCAA," he said.
Woodson signed with Summit less than a week after Michigan won a share of the 1997 national championship with a 21-16 victory over Washington State at the Rose Bowl. He also won the Heisman Trophy that season.
The credit line was set up soon after he signed and all account transactions were done by faxes sent to Woodson from Summit that he would fax back, he testified.
In the first two months, Woodson's account showed nearly $420,000 spent, some of which he said he did not remember authorizing.
Woodson said he didn't dispute he owed fees of $100,000, paid from the account on Feb. 12, 1998, to Summit. But he denied that the credit line was used for clothes, such as a fur for his mother, or trips to Myrtle Beach.
"I don't know when my mother got that," he said. "I paid for those trips myself."
He said the money went to pay for training expenses and a Lincoln Navigator he bought soon after giving up his senior year to enter the NFL draft.

Independent newspaper sayd they have reciepts proving it, tsun says they can't susbstantiate it because they hadn't heard back from the NCAA??

Sounds like a classic use of the Chewbacca defense to me. WTF did hearing back from the NCAA have to do with anything?
