Votto is God.

?I don?t like the Cubs,? Votto said. ?And I?m not going to pat anybody with a Cubs uniform on the back. But because he made that really cool play, it turned out to be a really cool experience. I?m really glad we got the win today.?

Volquez will start Sat. Reds added Rays RP Russ Springer today. There's two more arms. I'm starting to wonder if we need another arm. The young guys have been superb, but it sounds like volquez is as good as he's ever been. Wonder who will stay in the rotation and who will be moved to the pen/AAA. Our pen will benefit greatly when the rosters expand. Definitely a good thing they've gotten the experience in the absence of Volquez.

This. I think our young guys are really going to impress as they get more work down the stretch.

I am sure Maloney is the first to go. The question then becomes...do the Reds send down Wood or even Leake when Harang gets healthy? I personally would send Harang to the bullpen and send Smith back to the minors. Yet we shall see. The next question...what in the heck do they do once Bailey comes back? He is out of options. Do you shut down Leake and/or Wood? Put Bailey in the bullpen? At that point, who do you send down? Ondrusek, who has been really good recently? I think he would be the only one left who has any options to be sent down.

Or do you package a couple of those guys with someone like Alonso for Oswalt? I don't think all of those guys mentioned are going to be with the organization at the end of July. Good thing is we have tons of arms, just have to find the right places for them. I trust Jocketty. I don't trust Dusty to manage the staff however it shapes up though.

I doubt the Astros are going to trade within the division (I believe the owner has said as much). That leaves Haren. I would not trade Wood for him. Maybe Bailey if they would take him, but he is hurt and that kills most deals.

I would like to see Homer get healthy and move to the bullpen.

Dexter F Fowler robs Bruce of a HR that would have made it 6-0. Sure enough Arroyo tanks and the Reds can't score again.

3-2 reds, top 8, 2 on 0 out. This is about to be the 5th bad loss in a row.
