It was all Red Bull today, Verstappen won and Perez finished second. Leclerc was competitive and challenging Perez for 2nd; however, late in the race he spun out and ended up 6th. Hamilton's car must have been crap, he started 14th,moved up a few spots, and fell back to 14th after a pit stop problem. He spent the 2nd half of the race getting lapped by Verstappen and unable to pass some guy named Gasly for 13th.

Watched the race in a bar in Seville wearing my Ferrari hat. The bar was full of The Dutch. I had a blast with them despite the outcome. In two weeks I’ll be in Barcelona for the Spanish Grand Prix. I’m very excited to go to the race. Scuderia Ferrari!

Inside of Turns 6, 7 and 8, there is a fleet of yachts—10 to be exact—parked on the dry-dock marina. But they aren’t simply placed on wood. Instead, the yachts rest on 25,000 square feet of fake water, a vinyl material that makes it look like the boats are floating and has a ripple design.

And according to the Associated Press, the cost of tickets for a four-person pass to the “Yacht Club” range from $9,500 up to $38,000.

As Sports Business Journal reported, Miami organizers were trying to achieve the idea of “American version of the famed and glamorous Monaco Grand Prix.” We’ll let y’all be the judge on whether they pulled it off.

Death, taxes, and Ferrari screwing up their race strategy. Threw away a comfortable win for Leclerc with their pit stops, Red Bull capitalize. Gutted for Leclerc as I was rooting for the hometown boy, but happy to see Checo win at Monaco.

Just sayin': I watched this movie today (DVR off TCM channel) and it is amazing how far F1 has come (i.e. driver safety & the cars, etc.) since the 60s.

The film includes real-life racing footage and cameo appearances by drivers including Formula One World Champions Phil Hill, Graham Hill, Juan Manuel Fangio, Jim Clark, Jochen Rindt and Jack Brabham. Other drivers who appeared in the film include Dan Gurney, Ludovico Scarfiotti, Richie Ginther, Joakim Bonnier, Bruce McLaren and Jo Siffert.

One of the ten highest-grossing films of 1966, Grand Prix won three Academy Awards for its technical achievements.

They had plenty of intel on how terrible the hard compound was. They could’ve tested it on Sainz instead of your championship contender (that’s basically slipped away at this point). I think this was a product of arrogance, thinking their car is so much more superior to the cars that had already tried running on the hard compound. Their car is superior, but there’s no denying how useless that compound was regardless of which team was running them. It just had no grip. That could’ve been a great battle between FIA’s golden boy, Russ, and Leclerc down the stretch.

That being said, it’s nice to see Merc finally getting it together with this new F1 car. It’s been quite a seemless transition from Bottas to Russell for the most part. So long as there aren’t any insane modifications to the current car design, they should be able to compete for the Constructors’ and Driver championship next season. Whereas who knows what to expect from Ferrari, seeing as they can’t seem to find any amount of consistency currently. Leclerc is a supremely talented driver, so I hope for his sake they get things together.

Watched the F1 race today (it was in Sao Paulo, Brazil); actually it was pretty interesting. Mercedes finished 1 & 2 (Russell and Hamilton). Russell had the pole and pretty much lead the whole race. Hamilton and Verstappen had an incident in an early lap; Verstappen got the worst of it and they added on a 5 second penalty. He worked his way back finishing 6th. It was Russell's 1st F1 win.

Ricciardo, 33, hinted strongly at a return to Red Bull in a reserve capacity after leaving McLaren without another full-time role set up.

"The smile says it all," he said. "I’m truly excited to be coming back home to Oracle Red Bull Racing as their Third Driver in 2023. I already have so many fond memories of my time here, but the welcome from Christian [Horner], Dr [Helmut] Marko and the entire team is something I’m sincerely appreciative of.

"For me personally, the ability to contribute to and be surrounded by the best team in F1 is hugely appealing, whilst also giving me some time to recharge and refocus. I can’t wait to be with the team and support with simulator work, testing sessions and commercial activities. Let’s go!”

Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner added: “It is great to bring Daniel back into the Red Bull family. He has enormous talent and such a brilliant character; I know the whole factory is excited to be welcoming him home.

“In his role as test and third driver, Daniel will give us the chance to diversify, assisting in the development of the car, aiding the team with his experience and knowledge of what it takes to succeed in F1. We’re very pleased to be working with Daniel again and look forward to everything he will bring to the team in 2023.”
