I agree 100%...I have defended Ross vehemently on these boards over the past 2 years...however, there are possibly better options available now. Pitt has looked very good and we have not even seen Haw yet. People can blame a line as much as they want, but a back who hits the hole WAO inspires a line. Hardcore backs make a line better. Look back over the past 3 games...Lydell is successful when he is wide open into the hole...if there is no hole on his successful runs, he plows ahead for a whatever he can get. Now look at his losses or stalemates...he dances or tries to bounce the run. That frustrates the hell out of the O-line.really like and respect Ross as a guy, I really want him to be successful, but my interests put the team before the player, and that's why I'm suggesting we need to be easing towards a transition if someone else is willing to step up and take the wheel.
I love the kid to death...but he is not our best option right now.
