Life Without Terrelle
By Anthony Jaskulski
The Jeannette Jayhawks started a quarterback not named Terrelle Pryor last night. The man-child prodigy Pryor rushed for 1,908 yards and passed for over 1,700 yards in his remarkable career with the Jayhawks.
But as the genuine saying goes, All good things must come to an end, and so does the epic four year career of arguably the best athlete to light up a scoreboard from Jeannette to Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Now enter the new blueprints of Jayhawks football: Cameron Baradziej and Jordan Hall.
Taking the role as the top two replacements for Pryor, Baradziej, who was the backup quarterback, and Hall, an Ohio State recruit, who was an unsung hero in the ground game a season ago, both will have the keys to an offense that averaged a WPIAL class AA best 424 yards a game last season.
Continued...
Hall wooed crowds with his fast ability to slash through a hole and turn on the jets with his impressive breakaway speed, as the scat-back rushed for 881 yards on 105 carries last season. And while Hall has certainly proved his self worthy of helping replace Pryor, it’s the one likely to take the majority of the snaps this season in Baradziej that will need to do most of the proving to his defending state champion Jayhawks.

I highly doubt it. Hyde and Berry will form a nice 1-2 punch with hyde providing the thunder and berry the lightning. Hyde should see the endzone quite frequently as the redzone/short yardage guy. And Berry will line up in the slot as well as in the backfield where he will be used heavily when we run screen and draw plays. Also he should be a perfect fit for the pistol formation with Pryor and will be used often when we run the option. Not to mention the time he should see on special teams. Jordan hall will be used more in the slot and see some time in the backfield. Hall also could be switched to DB even though he doesn't have ideal CB size, Iv'e heard he could be tried there. Berry is more of the everydown back and hall is more a slot receiver who can run draws, reverses, screens and off tackle plays. And he has great chemistry with Pryor. And Hyde who i feel is underrated (especially speed wise) will be a TD machine IMO. Hyde could also be the featured back, however either way i think all three will play equally in many different capacities and will each complement each other quite well. The biggest thing i see in these three players in there desire to win. They have all put there egos behind them to be apart of something great. I think this because each one of these players could go to another big time program and be the featured guy but instead they chose the Buckeyes. Not to mention the line they will be running behind and probably the biggest factors Pryor, Tressel, and the family atmosphere at TOSU that so many recruits talk about. This truly is a great time to be a buckeye.Buckeye_Nate;1248609; said:Any worry of Jordan or Carlos Hyde looking elsewhere with a crowded backfield recruiting class now that Berry has committed?
