RB James Peoples (Official Thread)

Love this, but don't color me surprised. Peoples is a student of the game on top of a great athlete and person. Fans can look at the highlight film and get excited for good reason, but his character and intellect really set him apart.

I know losing Lyle was not ideal, but I would've said well before the Lyle flip that I would take Peoples hands down over Lyle. Day gushed about Peoples and how he will have an immediate impact next season for good reason. Kid is going to put in the work and not rely on athletic ability, true total package.

Day also said that early on they identified Peoples as the best RB in the nation. Lots to be excited about with the incoming class.

He was target #1 at RB for a reason, the way they recruited him shows that they really felt that. He was hurt most of his senior year or else I think he would have moved up near #1. I think he will come in and the Buckeye folks that don't follow recruiting will be asking "Who is this guy?" pretty quickly. And that is even assuming Trey and Hayden are playing.

He seems like an even better young man than player.

Who did the West have that was lighting it up on the East?
Lightfoot had a big game as a speed rusher off the edge. He was just running right past the tackle at times.

KVA had a good game, including a couple impressive plays stuffing the run.

Koi Perich was MVP. He had a ridiculous diving interception on deep pass to JJ Smith that was all but a guaranteed TD. JJ had his guy beat and ready for the ball to fall right into his hands in he end zone when Perich literally came flying in from the opposite direction, arms stretched out and snatches the ball outta the air just inches from the ground. Easily the most impressive play of the game. He also broke up another deep ball in the end zone that was otherwise a sure TD.

After watching them in action I’m really salty OSU couldn’t land any of those guys. Especially Perich. The dude is a baller and an instant upgrade at safety from day one.
