RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

God speed Mr. Wells.

Is turf toe what Kurt Coleman had last year?? And if it was, is it always that bad?? Please say no!

Depends on the severity and the person. Senior year of high school, Tony Pittman had it, and he missed 3 games. But the year before, another teammate had it, and he only missed 1 game.

I don't need to blow $99 to find out something now that I'll find out tomorrow for free.

Besides, if you know something from there tell us. Scout doesn't own this site.
Get a grip. There are rules on this site about posting premium info. I ws simply trying to point some people in that direction if that's what they wanted to do. :roll1:

Exactly. That's the way I've always felt about premium info.

what excatly is turf toe? i herd it was pull//sprained ligaments in the big toe? this correct?

The injury is not considered serious and he will play this season.....that much is clear.........the type of injury is not......at least nothing official at this moment.

I thought JT debunked the turf toe rumor in the post game presser?

Yes, he stated it was not turf toe....

Cheers and groans: Wells' injury overshadows Buckeyes' romp past overmatched Penguins

by Doug Lesmerises Saturday August 30, 2008, 8:31 PM

Marvin Fong/The Plain DealerAs Chris "Beanie" Wells writhed on the Ohio Stadium turf in the third quarter of Saturday's season opener against Youngstown State, all of Ohio State's grand hopes for 2008 seemed at risk. Wells eventually limped back onto the field and further tests will likely be taken on the Buckeyes' star running back.

COLUMBUS -- It looked like it had all vanished in a misstep Saturday -- the Heisman, the USC game, a national title. Beanie Wells was writhing and the 105,011 visitors to a now-silent Ohio Stadium were worrying.
Jim Tressel's heart leap a little bit?
"Or a lot of bit," Tressel said.
Hours after Ohio State's season-opening 43-0 victory over Youngstown State, there were some firm answers about Wells' third-quarter injury to his right foot but several remaining questions.
X-rays were negative, so it's not a fracture. Kicker Ryan Pretorius said Wells told him it was his big toe, and an Ohio State staffer confirmed it was a problem at the front of his foot. In his only comment before leaving immediately after the game to meet with team doctors, Wells said through OSU spokesperson Shelly Poe, "I may have rolled it or planted wrong a play or two before. Something just didn't feel right. Then I think I felt a pop."
And if it really is just a toe? Last year, linebacker Ross Homan was forced to redshirt with a turf toe injury.

Thanks, but I don't need to "get a grip". I though I made it pretty obvious I was just agreeing with the part about paying for premium when we'll all know tomorrow anyway. I know there's rules against posting premium info because I already told that to somebody else in the thread just a few posts before yours. But as Clarity stated, there's only rules against posting the premium article, there's no rules against saying what the information is.
