RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

In my opinion, he should have been #1 awhile ago. His combination of speed and power is rarely seen at the high school level. Buckeyes are getting a difference maker at the tailback position next year.

I still can not get the thought out of my mind about how Clarett and Adrian Peterson came in their freshmen years and dominated at the running back position. I think with him and Pittman back there it is just going to be amazing.

what more could Jt ask for than the number 1 back in thenation.

The scout staff said in that article even that he could have the same impact as Clarett did...

This is awesome news for Beanie and the Buckeyes...and I don't have to tell everyone how rare it is to see an early OSU commit move up in the rankings. Between Beanie (#1), Smith (#22), Gibson (#53), Johnson (#69), Hill (#71), Ausberry (#79), Homan (#83), Wallace (#86) and Small (#91) we are in on some serious talent. This class is going to be a good one...

Anyone on hear actually seen both MoC and Beanie play in person? Love to hear compairisions of the two.

That said, I think he will have a very hard time repeating the true freshman season that MoC had, simply because we actually have good RBs on the team now, something we didn't have in 02.

CW could easily have a better freshman season than MoC. The Fat One's season was front-loaded with the games against WSU and TT. While he definitely showed flashes after that, he was banged up most of the rest of the way. Of course, he showed up big in the NC, but even then Cryami held him well under 100 for the game.

If CW stays healthy and puts together a solid season, he'll eclipse MoC.
