I have a feeling that Beanie will not be a stranger to Columbus or the WHAC even after he moves on to the pros. He's a Buckeye through and through. It was a pleasure to watch you perform Beanie! :osu:
bingo. I heard Tressel today say, he thinks Beanie is the all time leading rusher against Michigan. Not to bad in 3 games/wins

Beanie's exit would be victory for Michigan

By JON SPENCER ? News Journal ? November 24, 2008

Ohio State's football media guide lists tailback Beanie Wells' major as "Exploring." If that means he's been exploring his NFL prospects since the day he arrived on campus, Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez can save him the trouble of going to class.
He's a first-rounder," RichRod said.
Rodriguez, doing his best to hasten Beanie's departure, doesn't want to deal with Wells now anymore than he would have wanted to during his days as a walk-on defensive back for West Virginia. Wells is only a junior, but Rodriguez knows the sooner No. 28 is gone the faster he can rebuild Michigan's fortunes without worrying about a well-placed stiff arm turning his defenders to dust.
After rushing for 134 yards -- 101 on two carries -- in Saturday's 42-7 waxing of the Wolverines, Wells was non-committal about his future plans. There's his football family in Columbus and his nuclear family (10 siblings) in Akron to consider, along with a shaky medical history that would suggest Wells not dally when it comes to turning pro.

I'm wondering what Dennis Dodd would say if or when Beanie explodes for over 200 yards in the bowl game. He'll be back on the bandwagon.

Either Beanie Wells is injured or he's turning into Franco Harris. I'm not talking about the Franco who led the Steelers to Super Bowls. I'm talking about the Franco who became famous for stepping out of bounds rather than accept punishment from, or deal out punishment to, defenders.

Wells broke for a long run to midfield in the second half and clearly cut his run short and stepped out of bounds rather than lower a shoulder. Wells could have picked up another five yards, instead he did an out route out of bounds.

That's the not first time I've seen him do that. Wells did leave the game later because of hamstring problems. It will be interesting to see what Wells does after this season because his junior season has been somewhat of a disappointment.

The statement about it not being the first time seems wrong to me. When I saw him do it I told my fiance that was the first time he's ever gone out of bounds on his own. I don't remember him ever doing that.

I sent a text to my TSUN friend the moment he stepped out. It said "Beanie's hurt...I've NEVER seen him step out like that."
