RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

Know it's been said, but thinking about a healthy, hungry, Beanie, with his combination of size and speed (and devastating straight arm) almost makes me feel sorry for the defenses he'll face next year.

If he can stay healthy, he can put up a year for the ages. My Freshman year at tOSU was Keith Byars junior year, and of course I fondly remember Eddie's senior year, but Beanies could surpass those two next year with the O-line and a defense to get the ball back for Beanie and the O. I'm salivating just thinking about him abusing some poor d'back.

I wanted to cry watching that.... DAMMIT!!! He was ripping off 5 yards on almost every carry (65 on the TD) and then we go pass the ball yeah thats SMART FUCKING GAMEPLANING right there. Beanie's size, speed, and strength is the best I've probably ever seen for a bigger back like him. Sure there'll always been players with better stats, but man there's not a better NFL talent than Beanie for the 09' NFL draft not ONE.

Beanie at probably near 250 with his speed and strength, running behind an oline with 4 returning starters is going to be something to watch. If he's healthy enough to do it he better be getting the ball 25 times a game. Running him behind that Oline not only is our best option, but it also keeps the other teams offense off the field so it's a win/win for us. Then when he gets tired you have Saine/Boom to come in as well. Gosh next years running numbers should be inSAINE.

Goosebumps man! The way he exploded through the line and then kicked it into high gear to get past the safety (the All-American with the SEC speed)...

I'm so pumped for next season! If Beanie stays healthy, no way he doesn't walk away with the heisman. Well...okay, maybe I'm a little biased! :wink2:

You may want to go back and look at his carries from about halfway through the game...LSU started jamming the line. Still, I guess we forgot we had a TE...

Feel the same way as you Mr. Burns. Met Beanie his senior year of high school at the Northwestern game and just saw him sunday at the Easton mall. The guy is a lot bigger than I thought he was. If we go undefeated next year its no doubt I believe he'll make a trip to NY to bring home a bronze stiff arming little man.:gobucks3::gobucks4:

Dapper Dan Awards
Humble Wells takes top honor OSU running back downplays attention, nurses injured wrist
By George M. Thomas
Beacon Journal sportswriter

Ohio State running back Chris ''Beanie'' Wells walked into the Dapper Dan Club of Akron's annual youth charity banquet Sunday afternoon with two noticeable characteristics.
One was the uneasy smile he flashed as he viewed the room full of people at Tangier and the other was the cast on his left hand and wrist.
It's little secret that Wells had issues with the wrist and said so before OSU's second consecutive loss in the BCS National Championship Game in New Orleans last month. Then he revealed that he'd played with a broken bone for the entire season, but didn't mention the possibility of surgery.
''It was broke all season,'' he said Sunday, ''but I don't know exactly what was wrong with it.''
He said that the cast will be off in a couple of weeks and participating in spring football shouldn't be a problem.
