RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

Was it potential 1st round pick Chevis Jackson that Beanie stiff-armed like a rag doll for another five yards? That was my favorite play on the night (aside from the 65-yard romp).
Even with the loss, I'm still amped thinking about that play. Seriously memorable moment. I want next year right now.

[sarcasm]No, that was potential 3rd round pick Chevis Jackson[/sarcasm] :wink2:

I wouldn't know Jackson from Adam, but Todd McShay of ESPN pegged Jackson as a late 1st early 2nd rounder in one of his articles this week.

I guess if he had a really good combine people might start seeing him as a late first, but for, I personally see him more as a 3rd.

Need he say more? :tongue2:

Beanie's final stats for the season-

274 carries
1609 yards
5.9 avg
65 long
15 td's

All that as a true sophomore and while being banged up most of the year. I think it's safe to say he's lived up to the hype.

I'd say so. His last six games were unbelievable as he averaged over 160 yrds/game and 6 yards per carry. I can't wait to see how he tops this season. He doesn't just try to live of his talent, he busts his ass every play.

As strange as it sounds, Beanie's performance took the sting out of that loss for me.

We got him for one more year, folks.

I couldn't agree more.

I doubt he reads this forum, but...

Beanie:

If you happen to ever come by here, then I wanted you to know that you make me proud. The heart, effort, and ability that you show are just amazing. Thanks for everything that you do, young man.

Last year, Pittman had success and we stopped toting the rock.

This year, Beanie had only 9 carries in the first half.

I would have liked to have seen 30-40 carries for Beanie last night. I don't know what the final number was, but he was on pace for 18 at halftime..

He was the best player on the field last night.. getting behind didn't help us but IMO the 2nd quarter is what did Ohio State in.. and that quarter we got away from running the ball down their throats..
