RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

Steady diet of Beanie. Run right at them. Beanie is a beast.

I tend to agree. I think the coaches realize Beanie is their meal ticket. Sprinkle in some trick plays if you want to show something different to keep the D-line from pinning their ears back but they need to run the ball, control the clock and keep the ball away from LSU's offense. Pittman ran the ball well in the NC game last year, just didn't get enough touches to pay off in the end. Once they got behind, it completely eliminated the running attack. A steady dose of Beanie is the key. If the Bucks have to win this game through the air, I don't like our chances. Just get me to the 4th in a close game and I think we pull it out.

I wouldnt mind seeing both Saine and Beanie in the backfield on several occasions. That wheel route to Saine is devastating if Boeckman is accurate. No LB'er is staying with Saine out of the backfield. Couple that with the play-action to Beanie and the LB'er is screwed.

A couple misdirection, counter-type plays would be nice with Saine and Beanie in the game, especially with multiple WR sets.

Gotta love Beanie's quote in this article. I'd say he's ready.

BuckeyeXtra - The Columbus Dispatch : OSU notebook: Status of Wilson unclear

New Orleans still has plenty of distractions, with the French Quarter and Bourbon Street. Yet when running back Chris "Beanie" Wells was asked yesterday what he hoped to experience most on the upcoming trip, he had a quick quip.
"Becoming a national champion," he said. "That's about it."

Beanie took a little crap from Demitrious Stanely by not celebrating with his teammates in the endzone but I don't think its a lack of appreciation for his O-Line. Beanie just seems to be all business and almost has a throwback attitude. No one has a crystal ball but I wouldn't be surprised if when he gets into the NFL he'll be like a Thurman Thomas or Barry Sanders who will just hand the ball to the refs like at tOSU.

Hopefully Beanie has two or three non-endzone TD celebrations in the ship game. I like D Stanley, but at times is more style than substance. Beanie epitomizes JT's Buckeyes, maybe DS does the same for Coops, nuff said.

Beanie says he is tired of hearing about what tOSU lacks and the entire team is coming in with a huge chip on their shoulders. He is very complimentary of LSU and their fanbase, but feels the Buckeyes are focused on the task at hand this year.

Rare glimpse of some intensity from Beanie.

150-200 yards for Beanie against LSU, most in the second half as LSU's DL wears down...

I sure hope you're right on this one Mili! I think Beanie sounds focused. And after last year's NC game, you know Kirk will have the O-line focused on proving some things. I'd be shocked if JT showed us much razzle dazzle. I think LSU will see Beanie early and often as long as we don't get behind.

LSU has only given up 1 100+ yard rushing game this year to Darren McFadden. Our run defense is pretty darn good with a lot of depth...

That may be true but we have two Wells and Saine, our yet to be unleashed secret weapon. Our O will be focused as we go to the Wells and a 200+ running is entirely possible. Saine could be running or catching passes in some unique formations. I can seen the ball going to several backs and the load shared by all.
